Bike Maintenance Camp

Post by Shoprag » Sun May 21, 2006 6:57 pm

Is there a Bike Maintenance Camp?
I am 1st timer but with bike maintenance skills.
I was considering doing simple/quick fixes for fellow burners.
Anything like that going on?

This post would be more appropriate in Theme Camps or Share Resources. Probably noone who's not trolling for topics would ever see it.

To answer your question, yes. Many people do this, some folks have done it for many years then quit, other folks just do it for friends and neighbors. PM me with what level you'd like to participate, I can put you in touch with one of the established camps if you wish. Otherwise, just take your tools (don't forget vinegar) and wander with them. You'll probably end up getting chased across the playa by people wanting you to help them...

Too snarky, apologies.

Try the Blinkies thread in Q&A, many good suggestions and links there:

There is a camp called Bikes and Barrachos that does bike repair. I ran into them at the 3:00 plaza, near the medic camp. I'm sure they'd love volunteers. Thanks for the hand, Shoprag!
Can't wait to go home!
