you've been warned.
<sarcasm> Don't warn us...when I suggested this on Page 6 of the eplaya Summit thread, I got this quote:
precipitate wrote:> It's about showing a little bit of sensitivity so the max number of users
> can get the most out of the board.

Um. It sounds to me that it's about superficially sanitizing the board to
make it safe for work for some users. And again, I don't think that's
the responsibility of the users of this community.
So please don't sanitize the board. It's a nice thought, but nice thoughts get you nowhere. No good deed will go unfucking punished. </sarcasm>

Oh, and since this is the Fuck! thread, Fuck yer day!

Oh fucking hell K.

It's like your head burst into flame whenever you get some criticism.

But *anyone* who has as much to say as you is going to get some criticism. But that's not a bad thing you know? You state an opinion - you'll have someone give you some other perspectives to consider. You're not being punished your just being *argued* with.

just my slightly inebriated and poorly worded .02 of course.

Sheesh Lydia, it's not even bothering me at all. I could care less and I'm sitting here laughing my ass off about it. I think it's interesting that the same thing people bitched about in one place is acceptable in another...I was just highlighting the contrasts.

I'm not depressed anymore and there is nothing anyone on this board can say to me that's going to bring me down. I'm just finding stuff to do as I wait on other processes to finish, and I saw that post, remembered Precip's post and matched them up.

I've also posted elsewhere that I'm taking on a lighting rod approach, and using my obnoxious notoriety to help me work out some ideas I'm coming up with. In short, I'm playing.

So Lydia, I appreciate your concern but I'm really doing just fine. Thanks for the feedback. I deal with a lot worse people in my day jobs than I see here. This is a cakewalk.

And the no good deed tagline is linked to my best friend Archantael, who is going through a tough time right now. She follows my posts on here, and I have that up as an insider comment to lift her spirits. She knows what it's about. Sorry if it confused you.

My screwup. I did take issue with Precip's post, and thought I would highlight how others might, key word - might, jump on him for putting up the warning. That's why I added the quote to explain things. Again, I was just singling out something I thought was interesting.

And I'm still smiling about it. See what happens when your bored and the eplaya crack addiction rears it's ugly head? I need to get back to editing today's footage we shot and not playing on here.

I don't think the point was that if you have a gawdawful pipa-toadesqe photo you *have* to post it front in center...

I find it highly unlikely that anyone else even *might* have jumped on that...

Oh fuckin A Flux. Don't tempt me.

Eh... Of the shit I've checked out so far my Live Journal is languishing. Wouldn't know what the fuck to do with Friendster. And I did toy at one point with the idea of delving into tribes but was overcome by feeling shy (don't laugh! believe it or not it's my fucking fall-back position)

So it seems the eplaya community(ies) just has to fucking put up with me.

I toyed with LiveJournal for a while, and had a weblog at one time, but just didn't have the desire or discipline to keep updating all the fucking time.

I never did the Friendster thing, but someone turned me on to tribes and I just went fucking nuts. With all the different groups for different interests, it's very addictive.

In other words, the latest installment in Flux's neverending search for community.

Cool! I've never had a fucking stalker. I know people complain about them, but it sounds like just the thing for my ever-fragile self-esteem!

I just found you and sent you an invitation. You can click on the Tribes tab and search for tribes you're interested in by keyword. Or you can open up my profile and look at some of my tribes for an idea of what's out there (and an idea of what a freak I am!).

I hope your computer chair is comfortable...

It's a community-building sort of thang. I gather that it's something like Friendster, but I never used that, so I don't know personally. You sign up, create a profile, join various tribes (affinity groups for people with common interests), etc.

Very addictive. Imagine the e-playa, but without the BMan-centric focus. There are tribes about music, politics, culture (including several BMan-related tribes), lots of tribes about fucking sex, etc., etc. Great fun.

Fuck yardwork!

As to talking to people face to face, tribe.net is having an open house in SF on 11/7 that I'm going to try to make it to. I'm looking forward to putting faces with the online personas (personae?).

(I realize that doesn't do you a lot of good, but you may well meet people on tribe.net who you'll want to meet irl. There are 187 people on tribe within 25 miles of Bremerton!)

Same on the e-playa, but I have to wait until fucking next August to meet most of you folks face-to-face!

Hey Lydia, I didn't know you were on LJ!

I go through phases there--I'll be totally prolific for a few months, then not write athing for a fucking year. It totally depends on my moods--I generally only write to vent or when I'm depressed, so it makes me pretty happy when i don't write anything for a year, if you know what I mean. Did you ever join the BM LJ?

I don't know - I've made a total of 4 entries I think. Haven't figured out it's usefulness to me or whether or not it will have a usefulness
