ahhhhhh...that was nice, The durran dancers, did alot of Chicago!
there was a nice breeze, wine was good, port wine cheese was even better with fresh pears

but of course! yes downtown was lovely, crowded yet not overbareing! wine was great, man and that awesom port cheese spread on the water crackers with pears with sliced ham...well you get the picture...haha I do love food and art they go exceptionally well together!

If there was a peppermint version of Tiger Balm that cooled down.. I don't *think* I have a sunburn, but there's definte redness due to the rub of the hoops on my shoulders as I walked from bus stop to bus stop to performance area and back..

really good!, got hat w/ dreads done , just ready for night time glow sticks, got eyelits in one of skirts for lace up, got floor length lambs skin vest planned out,gonna start on 2 sets of fantasy wings tomorrow, and maybe KICK THE UTILIKILTS around!

Holy crap, that's inspirational :)

I've been mentally working on my Camelbak/hoop transport/wings idea... but haven't done much for actually CREATION!

Bought some deep-pile peach funfur for... prob a mini... and some short-pile periwinkle stuff for either leggings, pants or a skirt, haven't decided which.. prob something bike-ridable would be good, eh?

I did a hoop costume yesterday, after the day before swearing that I was going to give up on it because it was stressing me and I had another outfit to wear.. wound up getting up yesterday, and just finishing the thing with no effort or problems procrastinating.. wore it today to perform and it worked well.. what DIDN'T work well was thinking that I could hoop for 15 min in front of a crowd in the hot hot hot hot hot sun... and I also tossed a hoop right into the crowd, blame it on the nerves or the slippery hands ;(

Do a bunch of pleats for the back and front, and then leave some flat areas to the side (or vice versa).. and if they are smaller than the kilt, you can pleat the flat areas using safety pins or buttons (if you sew button holes in) or velcro... traditional kilts actually have a four or five notch belt tab on the final closure to do minor adjustments..

Im like that too Xta...sometimes when ive stiched the same thing backwards for the third time ...I walk away...Just slowly walk away...give it a day...or 4!!!
Thats the bad part about working on stufff to late in the evening after work all night...to tired to pay attention...hahahaaa
