Camps for Cool Grandparents and Hip Older People?

Post by madmatt » Mon Jul 03, 2006 9:20 am

NO I AM NOT CROSS POSTING! DAMMIT, I'M TRYING TO DO A FAVOR FOR MY DAD, SO SHUT UP!

My parents (74 and 63) are going to BM for the first time this year. Theyr'e not allowed to camp with me for obvious reasons. They don't want to feel otu of place or like they totally can't keep up with the youngins, so I'm trying to help them find a haven where there will be other people around their age.

Please post tips or send me private message.

Thanks!!!!!

Check out Hushville. Independent village, large friendly age range, no generators, no amplified music, LNT of course. No fees or dues, but preregistraion is required. Of course if they're in an RV this won't work well.

Check out kidsville too. There people of all ages and grandparents too. It's fairly quiet at night. You don't have to bring kids to camp there, but that certainly is the focus of the camp. There's no fee, it's LNT. RV's are welcome, but placement within the camp will depend on whether or not they intend to use the generator or have it running it at all.

Cheers,

i think your folks will fit right in, except next to loud raver camps... unless of course, they are hard of hearing.

The Elders Theme camp might be a cool place for them if they are into nudity. The Elders range from 55-70.
