>Just sticking my head in the door..<

HAPPY 4th OF JUpLaYa to all the awesome people here!!!!

(As she surruptitiously drops off some of her stash of Makers for the evening fireworks...)

Sorry I've been so... absent. I could go on and on and on about how busy I've been, and the promotion I'm pulling for, but still, 'tis no excuse.

Off to plant, er, plot more doom...

Hugs to all...
bb

Be careful or by the time the burn comes you’ll finally sleep and miss the whole thing.

Sounds like you need to start to do away with your expectations soon,... it really is damn near impossible , but you will need to try. I think it is best if you can let the experience wash over you, flow with it take it in however it comes, don’t try to do every thing, but don’t miss the things you want to do,... it’s hard.

My first year about mid week I found myself depressed because I hadn't met my soul mate and a few other fantastic things I had thought I’d given up expectations on,.. it took a guy from the group that kind of absorbed me into their camp telling me, “hey but what about us” to pull me out of it . I was meeting great people and seeing amazing things and those dreams really did pale to what I was missing by Mourning there not happening.

<speaking from underneath the table [after one too many screwdrivers]>

Yeah, this year should be my first time, too. I've been trying to pare down my expectations. My limited budget should help (although I haven't fully given up on obtaining a diesel bus and coverting it to waste veggie oil in time to go). Biggest concern right now is how I am going to get out there, and whether or not to take my old Schwinn out to the playa.

<hic> If I take the Schwinn, I don't think I will customize it, since it is a great example of late 1970s/early 1980s cruiser bicycles.

<either lapses into contemplation or passes out. Hard to tell which.>

That's ok like you said it will what it will be, ...I find this slow-motion chat thing good for me because I tend to be shy and at a loss for words even on the phone

Depends upon which type of British humor. Monty Python horribley warped me at an early, impressionable age!
