First Burn have a question
after buying three tickets now and always having to give them to a friend because of my work, I am FINALLY GOING! (I quit my job)..
Instead of yammering Ill get to my question:
Dry Ice??? can anyone lead me into the right direction for information on dry ice @ BM? I want slushy pink lemonade with vodka.. could alway ad the "V" after since it does not freeze but basically my goal is an ice cold slushy with a punch..

There's a sticky thread in Q&A about dry ice. Very useful info.

I have to assume that you are using the dry ice to cool right and not put in your slushy?! Dry ice tastes very different because of the C02 and you will not be happy. Blah!
I would suggest purchasing a used frozen drink machine. Then you could obtain 495 feet of of 20ga electrical cord to run from center camp or a largr generator. Perhaps purchasing a Honda EU 3000, they are very quiet. Now you won't have to worry about the dry ice!
Frozen Drink maching $1590
Electrical Cord $84
Generator $2800
Vodka and pink lemonade $100
Having a cold slushy vodka drink on the playa....Priceless!

I don't know where you're coming from, but if you're passing through ?Reno or Fernley, those are the places to get dry ice. The spot in Fernley is Scolari's Food and Drug, which is on the main street through Fernley. There's a McDonald's in the parking lot and you can see it's big ugly sign from far away. Scolari's is open 24 hours.
In Reno, the places to go for dry ice are the Wal-Marts, which are always open and which are all located just off the freeways. Exit 69 Wal-Mart on I395 does NOT have dry ice, but the 24 hour Winco grocery store next to it does.

Thanks to Addis, I had more free time.

There's a Scolari's on Pyramid Way in Sparks off I-80, too. Watch for John Ascuaga's Nugget, turn off there, head north. It'll be on the left about a mile up.
There's also a Raley's and a Chevron on the same street.
You can also keep going on Pyramid Way. It goes up to Pyramid Lake. When you see the lake, turn right, skirt the south end of the lake and it takes you to the main migration route. You'll take a half-hour to forty-five minutes off your trip.

Oh lordy halleluyah. Where is your camp this year? I promise not to complain about the generator noise...frenchblue1 wrote:I have to assume that you are using the dry ice to cool right and not put in your slushy?! Dry ice tastes very different because of the C02 and you will not be happy. Blah!

Can't you make a slushy with a blender and ice?
Just go to center camp, buy some ice and blend it away with one of these:
