FUCK! My interview is tomorrow morning at 10:30, and I am already getting myself nervous! And I found out AFTER arriving that two of the three interviewers is actually going to be here rather than interviewing over the telephone! If I had known I would have packed my fucking Department of Motor Vehicles BLAZER!!! Actually, even without the interview I wish I'd have packed it-- the AIR CONDITIONING HERE IS FUCKING FREEZING!!!!!

I got a job last fucking october, and when I was talking to the last interviewer (the fucking HR guy) I mentioned 'oh yeah I already got my Xmas plane ticket home bought, and I won't be around for 2 weeks at the end of the year' and they were all appreciative about the early heads-up.
Makes you look all upright and honest and stuff, instead of like a fuckin' weasel.

They already know about the fucking vacation request-- the interview is for another job/promotion in the Wisconsin Department of Transportation/Department of Motor Fucking Vehicles. I would be getting another US$2/hour, and still be fucking underpaid! ...and FUCK! I just looked at my approved time off, and Monday the 28th is NOT on the list?!! 
I must have somehow left it off the request?!?
And FUCK! There are 3 or 4 people working in the DOT with the same name as my acting supervisor, and when I sent a private email to them asking if there is any way possible to get the 28th of August off, one of them, who wasn't my supervisor, replied back to the whole fucking team to tell me she wasn't the right one, and quoted my whole fucking message!!!
Anyway, the interview seemed to go okay, but I don't know if it went well enough for me to be one of the people chosen (out of the 20) to fill one of the six openings.

I just went through a dozen fucking hoops to qualify for a promo interview myself (also with DOT, tho not in Wisconsin) and I can bet sure as shittin' (a) the interview will be right before a fucking payday (and 230 miles from here), (b) they'll hire me with a start date of... say... August 28th, and (c) right after I start, the location I have been waiting to open up will, and they will tell me "Gee, we were hoping to promote you HERE, but you took the job THERE, so sorry..." About fucking right.
Don't knock a 2 buck raise, tho. I remember a guy years ago (management, on salary) who *finally* got his annual raise, it was kinda meager, but he said "Well, at least it's not a quarter an hour." After talking about it, he then worked it out on an (unrealistic for us 40 hour week) -
24.2 cents an hour.
Yep, he was right - wasn't a fucking 2 bit raise... >wince<

Well, it might very well have been my own fucking fault with regards to August 28th-- the fucking calander for my fucking day planer starts the week with MONDAY, instead of SUNDAY! So it is possible I didn't notice when I put in the request. 
Now I gotta wait until my substitute supervisor gets a chance to reply. Right now she is not only filling in for our supervisor as well as supervising her own station-- she is also filling in for the Driver's Licensing Trainer who is up here filling in for our Registration Trainer....
Well, I probably should think about getting back to (fucking) work.

Then you have us non R&F people (Supervisors and above) who get paid on the Governor's Whim. Means the workers can get paid more than the supervisors, which happens in places (some operators and painters get more than a superintendent - man, am I in the wrong field!!), and if there's a budget shortfall, they can go after *our* pay. Almost happened a couple times, where we could have been dropped to (a) federal Minimum Wage, or (b) work for nothing, because we're telling you to. Yeech. (Fucking lackeys!!!)
