Geodome software

Post by Ludwig » Tue Jul 11, 2006 10:38 pm

I finally got around to making a Mac OSX installer for geodome, since a lot of people were having trouble applying my patch and compiling the source code themselves. The author hasn't put it up on his site yet but if you trust software from a random dude on the eplaya you can get it here.

Sorry it's PPC-only at this point because I don't have any Intel Macs to test on.

Also, if you're running a version of OSX prior to 10.4 the installer won't create an enclosing folder for some reason, so make sure you do that yourself before running it or it'll spray the components all over the destination.

Lastly, be aware that these are still command-line invoked applications, so read all the included instructions (actually, you can skip the "How To Build" section of the README) or you won't get very far.

Happy, uh, doming!

FWIW, I'm the author of Geodome, and had the pleasure of trying out Ludwig's version for the first time yesterday, and would like to take the opportunity to pronounce it Way Cool.

Thank you both - I'm downloading now and am looking forward to playing around with the app and eventually venturing into making some sort of dome structure...
