I have 6 pieces that are 3 feet long. One of each color since I just wanted to play around a bit. I'm thinking of making an EL sputnik satellite for my back. I may buy some more wire since it's so cheap.

I'm thinking of making this removable so I can wear it on different outfits depending on the temperature. I might use a few of the LEDs I bought to light up the ends of the antennas too.

A halo is so easy you could do it with a glow necklace attached to a wire frame. In fact, it'd be so short that you would probably need multiple wraps of EL-wire (not that that's a bad thing) to get the length right. The problem with EL-wire is that it needs a driver and a battery. There are super small ones, so it might work. Check coolneon.com

Next question: while I realize that a simple halo will not be all that uberly stunning.. will it provide enough of a safety glow to keep art cars and cyclists from crashing into me?
