I wear contacts.
I love my contacts.
However, I have never had to subject my contacts to playa dust.
Besides bringing an extra pair and rewetting drops, how did the contact wearing folks do at burningman?
Some insight (no pun intended) would be graciously appreciated.
:)

There have been several disscussions about this before.

I wore contacts the entire week last year and didn't even bother to take them out. Which is a little unusual for me since I usually don't sleep in my contacts. But, I never had a problem. Bring an extra pair or two, rewetting drops, your glasses, and one or two pair of good goggles. Having a pair that will fit over your glasses if need be, is a good idea.

I've never had a problem with my contacts out there- but I don't touch them or take them out, and I re-wet constantly.
Make sure you get the one or two week kind- they're breathable so your eyes don't get messed up. I bring a back up pair just in case, but I've never had to use them. I don't bother bringing my glasses- I would rather bring extra contacts than ruin a good pair of glasses. YMMV
Oh, and if I didn't say it- rewetting drops!!! Lots of them!
Also: if you've never worn your contacts for a week I would recommend doing a test run before you get out there. I just got a new prescription and wore them for a week even though I knew how well the old ones worked. You really don't want to find out 3 days in that your eyes are killing you.
