When is the &%$#@*& map coming out?

Post by deadletter » Tue Jul 25, 2006 10:51 am

Several years ago we made a excel map of all the theme camps, and I'm eager to make one for this year - it's not intended to be perfect - not only do a lot of placements change at the last minute, the dots only correspond loosely to how the theme camp list comes out (so we can see them all).

So then the frakking questions is, "When is the theme camp list coming out!"

Registered theme camps should be notified of thier placement this week. So I think you'll be waiting at least a couple of weeks for that list. But, then again who really knows but the ORG.
Imagine of you will ............ round squares..... Not spherical cubes.............But round squares.

I remember this map. It's a great resource. Thanks in advance, assuming you're able to acquire the necessary data with adequate time.

If it helps, Safer Sex Camp requested space in the 3 o'clock plaza. We'll see if we get it.

I was at the HQ today helping with the survival guide mail-out, and was told that it should be getting published within the next couple days. I may be back there again tomorrow, if so I'll ask on your behalf, deadletter...

here's a way you could be of GREAT assistance...

When they publish the list, it's generally an intersection - every single camp near "3:00 and Venus" or whatnot gets that designation.

Will you ask if there is a more gps-oriented, or just in general map-oriented designation?

Perhaps you could show them the map at http://www.speakeasy.org/~p0key/deadletter/maps and tell them that if they get me the info, I could turn it around overnight and they could have it ready to go out.

I've started working on the map as of... NOW.

10:00 PST, 7-26

Since I get to steal a lot of the code from 2 years ago, I get a leg up. Let's see how long it takes me to get it done!

(this while I am managing summer school credit retrieval, mwahahaha)

We'll be at 6:30 and Eager. Don't forget, keeds, swing by Safer Sex Camp for your armour before you go out a-partyin'!

This is gonna be great since I think we'll be behind REMSA. That's kind of important for me since I don't know how my post-cancer/chemo body will react to the Playa environ.
