I can't find any reference to the indomitable Mr Best and his amazing creations. To come across the Temple of Joy at my first burn was one of the highlights of my entire life. Is he taking a year off this year? And while we're on th esubject what happened to Dr Megavolt? That guy was amazing...............

David did not build the temple last year, nor is he building this year's. He's a pretty amazing artist, and I'm sure he'll continue to make amazing art both off and on the playa.

The folks who made Beyond Black Rock have made a documentary about him, called The Temple Builder. I'm dying to get to see it.

Mark Greive is doing the Temple of Hope this year. I'm pulling the midnight-to-3AM Angel shift on Burn Saturday (after the Man burns). Watch for a winged snow leopard.

We already got one in place. It's called the White House.
