acapplaya seeks experienced jazz vocalists !

A capplaya is returning for its third year on the playa, and is looking for these parts:

Tenor/Baritone - our current tenor has a significant range, so a tenor or baritone would fit wonderfully!

Bass - we need a solid bass to be complete !

Vocal percussion experience is a huge plus.

A capplaya is a 6 voice (3 male, 3 female) a cappella jazz group that performs throughout the burning man event. Charts are distributed and memorized prior to burningman. We have backup positions for 2006, or you can put your name on the list to perform in 2007.

I ask that you bring Acaplaya a really amazing, low voiced, nice, slightly freaky, and at least mostly sober, talented BASS. (If he's cute, even better...)I know this might seem rather petty when the world is at war and the earth is heating up. But we promise to bring light and love into the world; it will be our little way of healing the earth, one song at a time.
