And remember, you can come to the bar naked, so long as you bring your own cup!

Possibly.

We started in a thread in the General Discussion called "The Bar"--you might want to poke around in it.

Right now we are discussing clowns.

There is also a "Bar Index Thread" because wading through 2100 old posts is time consuming and intimidating.

Are you looking to join a camp? What would you contribute?

From Theme Camp announce:

Theme Camps Fellows,

We did it! We are getting your placement out to you early! Thank you
placement team. Thank you everyone that answered our questions and
made themselves available to our team. We appreciate all of your
cooperation. Please read the following information. It will save you
some some time and us some email correspondence.

1. Year two of our new city design should prove to be very exciting.
We learned a lot about how to place camps in in the new design last
year and we should all enjoy the benefits this year.

2. The map is final. It has gone to press. We try very hard to
please everyone and we read your questionnaires carefully. If you are
surprised by your placement please take time to consider all
possibilities before you freak out. If you do freak out when you
find out where you are located, take a deep breath, study the blurbs
on the web site of the other camps near you and contact some of them.
There is often a method to our madness.

3. At Burning Man no one owns real estate. We create our city anew
every year to keep it fresh and vital. You will find that
like-minded camps and themes are placed together to create districts
and neighborhoods.

4. When looking at your space assignment the first street name is
your frontage. WE expect your front entrance way to be placed on this
street. This is most critical on the avenues 4:30 and 7:30.The second
street name is the one you are nearest to or on the corner of. Look
at the dimensions (e.g. 50' x 100') to envision your shape and size.
The first number is the frontage of your camp. The second number is
the depth. These sizes are approximate! They are not exact. Do not
expect to come in with a measuring tape and find the exact space. It
may be a bit more or a bit less.

5. If you are placed in the inside of Center Camp or in a 3:00 or
9:00 plaza there will be an additional time (e.g. 9:45) associated
with your location. This time indicates your frontage on the circular
space with 12:00 pointing to the Man.

6. If you see a (+) or a (-) your camp is an irregular shape with
additional space added to it or subtracted from it. Why? Because we
are mapping a circular city with a square grid and you guys have a
lot of odd-ball requests!

7. Some of you did not get the size space you requested. Some
requests were way over what seemed to be needed by what you described
in your questionnaire. This left us with the task of deciding a
realistic space for you. If your map did not have dimensions we were
left to guess. We carefully reviewed how many people were listed in
each camp and how much additional "stuff" your questionnaire
indicated you were bringing to allocate your space. We only had the
information you have provided us to work with, though we did phone as
many people as possible when there was a great discrepancy.

8. Your address is NOT exact. It only gives you an approximate idea
of where you will be living. We have to do this for two main reasons:

a.) We need you to allow us to place you. It is not as easy as it
seems to find your placement and understand the flagging system. We
hate to move you after you have already begun to set up.

b.) Placement will continue to change as people arrive and we need to
have some flexibility with your exact spot. When an unexpected
problem arises, like you have more people than you expected, we can
sometimes accommodate you without inconveniencing anyone else. We
gently shuffle this and that and that and this and can sometimes work
miracles without changing other addresses.

9. You will find a sector listed with your street address and size.
This is the area where you will be placed. You will need to remember
this. In subsequent emails we will give you the name of the placer
responsible for this area. Your placer will be available to assist
you pre-event and on the playa. Expect an email for your sector
shortly. Your placer will be introduced and will be ready to answer
all of your questions, Please contact us immediately if you are
missing any necessary information at thememcamps at burningman.com.

10. Due to our ongoing technical snafus we are slightly concerned
that not everyone is getting all of the information they need. If
you do not receive an email from your placers by Monday, July 31st,
write us at themecamps at burningman.com

Keep reading your theme camp announcements. The next few will be the
most important this year letting you know who has early arrivals
(there will be only 200 people selected), the process for arriving in
Black Rock City and key information about being a placed camp.

It is going to be a great year!

I started thinkin bout the possiblilties of more alcohol requirements, with that many people and on top of that soooo many bars in town, I think we should be ok providing we start off slow and end with a bang!

Mission Statement of the ePlaya Bar Camp

Post by Rockdad » Sun Aug 06, 2006 1:30 pm

Mission Statement of the ePlaya Bar Camp
The following ten one liners comprise the core values of the ePlaya Bar Camp.
1 - "To solve unsolved problems innovatively while playing, perusing and imbibing."

2 - "To give unlimited opportunity for fun to all campers and guests."

3 -"To preserve and improve human existence by solving all the problems in the world"

4 - "To give ePlaya Bar folk the chance to drink the same thing as rich people."

5 - "To make people happy."

6 - “To honor and respect virgins assisting them in the passage from virginity.”

7 - “To be desirous of everything yet nothing at the same time.”

8 - “To pass the good Karma whenever possible.”

9 - “To revel in fervent participation with other Burners.”

10 - “To have fun doing uncommon, extraordinary things for others and self”

Each ePlaya Bar Camper is supported by a set of values that set the performance standards and direct the implementation of the mission critical values set forth as such. We ePlaya Bar Campers (eplayain playas erectus) publicly uphold the following values.

Camp social responsibility.
Unequivocal excellence in all aspects of the camp operation, LNT policy, and security.
Alcohol-based innovation in spontaneous camp improvements.
Honesty & integrity in all interactions in camp.
Fellowship and fraternity.
Hooping will always be respected and hoopers yielded to.
Fun, but fun from participation that benefits the experience for all.
Fire will be respected and controlled.
Water is life.
Alcohol is the nectar of the Gods or blood of the big bang
Grey water is evil generate very little of it.
Moop is fun to pick up at all times.
Buddy system is a good thing
Thou shall wear blinky glowie things at night
We are not desirous of baby wipes in the JOT’s

And all ePlaya Bar Campers state their commitment to core interactive values as follows.

What happens at ePlaya Bar Camp stays in ePlaya Bar Camp
All non- virgin members are Meta BRC Rangers that means “Head first mouth last”.
All cynicism will be respected.
Nurturing and promulgation of "wholesome yet erotic Burner values".
Creativity, dreams and imagination shared, celebrated and respected.
Fanatical attention to consistency and detail while dreaming.
Preservation and control of the ePlaya Bar Camp "magic" with constant and generous application of good Karma.

Commitments

The ePlaya bar camp ritual experience beliefs will be added to our commitments as they are universally adopted and magically appear as predicted in the old ePlaya long lost threads. This list is expected to grow until the end of the Mayan calendar. The following are only starter seed’s.
.
NEB – The NEB “Never ending blanket” shall never end.

Booze – Booze pictures online are real drinks in your hand.

Boobs –Boob pictures online are real boobs in your hand.

Hunks- Hunky guy pictures online really suck in the bar!

Love - Love is real love in your hand.

Mooping another camper - The ePlaya Bar Camp Moop game is an integral part of the ePlaya bar camp ritual experience since 2006 Moop can be handed off once to another eplayain if the receiver accepts it they must now dispose of it properly. This will lead to always playing the fun “Is it Swag or Moop” game day and night creating a fun little constant social experience.

“What will it be?” A question of great social significance and an ancient eplayain bar greeting shall be held reverent through out the lands of ePlaya Bar Camp. If the question is answered all efforts shall be made to comply with the request.
