+++++ BEST SHADE MATERIAL????? ++++++++

Post by binahkitty » Mon Jul 31, 2006 3:34 pm

[size=18][b]We have the metal tubing for a 20X10 foot "carport"

I tore the dinky old tarp off the top and want advice on what kind of material would be best for shade. (ie PARACHUTE; ARMY CANVAS; ARMY Netting, etc.)

I think from last year, the vote in was a Parachute.....can anyone and everyone and anything help remind me? Thank you thank you!

You're not helping anyone by living on eplaya and bashing people....I wouldn't feel the need to post in a couple of "related" areas if one person would be kind enough to help.......I tried "search funtcion" I want specifics; and I did read......and I do spell correctly "sense" honey, not "sence." Besides...how many threads have you left on here just in one week? I have a total of 5 or 6.....in a year...I think that's valid.....respect served equally.....take care...

The best shade material? Aluminum foil. Just cover the pipes with layers of foil. It not only reflects the sunlight but as an added bonus, keeps the "mind control beams" from entering your structure. You can even line your hats with it, or the headliner of your car. Awesome stuff.

well.. people were making thier points by joking so it might have been equally valuable to take it in the same spirit rather than this kinda response.

but no worries, looks like you are still getting some valuable advise in the other topic.

best shade material is ALUMINET woven aluminum coated mylar/polyester strands..Reflects energy from the satellite cameras and ray guns, also lasers.

warranteed to lower playa temperatures to 68 degrees at all times

work just like aluminum foil with flow thru hoales.

military surplus camo netting is a ifne material.

If you had read the board, you would have seen ample discussion on it.

Aluminet

Post by gyre » Tue Aug 01, 2006 4:33 pm

There is a solid aluminet.
Does anybody know a source in the USA?
Anybody overseas willing to ship?

Also, if you can't find aluminet, get something that blocks all light=heat.
EPDM material is tough, it's the tough part of alumninet. A lot of tarps have a black or silver layer to block sunlight.
If you can see light through it, you can cook through it.

Since the hot sun rays come from above, then the aluminet or silver tarp should be on the parts of your structure on the top, whilst if you use shade cloth for the sides, it will allow some of the wind to pass through and not tend to make your tent into a parachute.
