Maybe that's why it seems fewer regulars are posting as musch shit,,,getting a few things done..

I know a list is critical to getting anything done, othewise I just get about 10% done on about 15 things, there's still 90% left to do....

did get 2 podbelts made this weekend, 10% further on a tent project, more make-up purchased, some latex glitter glue......

We are adding a center hoisting mechanism. During assembly, the roof goes together with the perimeter at about 3 1/2 ft elevation with the center at abt 8 ft. The perimeter ring is bolted together, then each of the 8 corners is pushed up 4-6" and clamped. At each corner, walk to next, repeat, round and round. lots of work cuz the corner connector slide a ways then jam until the others are moved.

SO, big new idea: a sailboat winch and a pulley on the center column to pull up also. If lucky this will do most of the work, I hope

It sounds not that different from the building technique where they pour a floor then jack it up put in the columns and pour another one,

very similar, but doing REAL buildings all the jacks are coordinated so the slab doesn't crack. We just don't have the trained manpower. It's been pretty much push up until something jams, then I walk around and find the low one, help push it up, then find the next jam. With more people the motion is further, but the jams are tighter.......

Either way, eventually the roof is up. You are welcome to help "raise the roof" Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning if you are @ home!
