You will likely pay interest at closing that will be deductible as well as property taxes. Most closing costs are not deductible unless they are points or represent some form of prepaid interest or tax.
Property taxes and mortgage interest are your two biggest biggest amounts leading to itemizing deductions, however in states with a sales tax the Feds allow for a "general tax" deduction as well as a deduction for auto registration that is used by municipals.
and don't forget charitable contributions. (contributions to your dealer don't count)
Just some fucking shit to think about. AND please don't use those fucking cut rate tax services at the fucking mall. I spend more fucking time fixing their fuckups and having to charge for it. Makes me feel bad. Don't be afraid to ask your fucking tax preparer about his/her experience, especially if you have issues that are out of the norm. Even get a second opinion. It's your fucking money - act like it.

Well somebody still fucking cares about customer service. I had a problem with my checking account and I cringed at the thought of calling Bank of America. Reluncantly I finally called, not only did they fix the problem they waived all the fees too. I about fell out of my fucking chair in shock.
