College Students?
Hi all.
I'm a 19 year old from NJ who is going to his first BM this year. My dad has been going and taking photos for years, but he isn't coming this year.
Some of you will probably see me in the airport on the 28th with my thumb in the air hoping I can pick up a ride :)
Anyway, I was wondering how many college-age students come to BM, 18-22 year olds? Are there any specific theme camps or something for them... and no, don't refer to the Kiddie Camp :P
I just think I'll be somewhat more comfortable if I can easily make some friends of my own age at the beginning, and then be able to venture out from there.
Thanks in advance,
Bill.

Oh bill, you gotta let the age thing go. All my friends in camp are 22~25. I'm 49. It just doesn't matter as much once you hit the playa, you'll see.
I bet you don't believe me.
Oh and Bill, you only need to post once in one forum, otherwise you've committed the dread cross-posting!
See you at home!

I agree.
One of the most amazing things I've experienced with the Bman community is that there is little to no agism. People really tend not to make judgements about you because of your age. I'm 24 and my very good friend Zulegoona, who drove me out to the burn last year, is 50. I now have more friends than I've had in years and they are of all ages. Some younger than me, some near my age, and many older than me. They are all wonderful people who have never talked down to me because I was younger, but always listened and respected me for who I was.
To answer your question, there really are no specific camps that I know of that are primarily made up of college age kids.
It's easy to make friends by just striking up a conversation with someone. You'll be suprised at what you have in common with people of all ages.
Good luck, if you open yourself up a bit, I think you'll make some wonderful new friends.

Thanks to college, I now know what a MILF means!
