(CLARK brightens right up) LeChat! (scratches the cats ears). How's it going? Yeah, there is a lot to be done. I just got a new tent for myself, a hiking pack, and a sweet ass old wooden ammo case to put emergency coffee in. Good to hear from ya tonight. (Cc fixes the loosened eyelets on the harness after months of kitty travels.)

According to my calculations, I should be drawing off the same amount of watts as I'm charging with the panel (15watts). I should be able to run the LEDs straight off the panel's power without battery, meaning that I can draw off as many hours at night as I get sun during the day. Considering that in our camp, we use the light when we're around and then go out running around, I think we should have adequate power to run a little radio even and still recharge during the daytime.Zulegoona wrote:Lechat, How's the battery life on your system, I’ve heard solar is bad at crapping out well before dawn.
I have a 115 amp hour deep cycle battery, so there's plenty of juice to draw on. And I figured on getting 8 hours of decent light per day. It’s an amorphous solar cell, so it should do ok, even in indirect light. Again this remains to be seen, as I don’t’ have all the stuff here yet.
So we'll see. I plan on a test here first.
