I got the (I think) same ones from Costco. They hold up to a lot. Use one full of dry ice (70#, BTW) as a DI storage unit, double wrapped and sealed, another with block ice as a fridge. A smaller one with dry ice and ice ice in the bottom as a freezer, and one with fresh cube ice as a can cooler (can reuse ice for washing, etc.).Zoom wrote:i thought we were going to get the ones at sam's club with the wheels on them. they will be plenty large enough for us. plus we will have the army duffle bag for the camo net and the air matress with sleeping bags. we will be fine.Lorgasm wrote:Gotta see what we can fit in 4 coolers and to make sure we get the most durable coolers money and hand-jobs can buy.
We also have a smaller one we use for fresh cube ice for drinks for the Kantina. If you get food grade dry ice (there is a difference) you can put a chunk of that on the bottom and keep your ice ice colder longer.
Also - rule #1 - keep ALL coolers a foot or better off the ground. The ground (and esp. the playa floor) will suck the cold out of your cooler but fast!
