Cross is all but finished, scrubs and awareness bracelets are here, labcoat's coming, I only need to make the manniquin of HOPE with the pile of cardboard I managed to scare up. I need to finish all my projects in 11 days and finish shopping in a week.

EL wire for the bike is coming, so is the boatload of muslin I'm making into a dust condom for my shelter, TriKing Kobra should be here this afternoon, three-level dutch oven is en route!

Packing is going apace. I'd start loading up the car but I have a horse show in two weeks and don't need to be lugging all that schtuph around, making the car heavier and sucking up gas. Save gas money for the migration!

I TOO HIT THE ROAD IN 19 DAYS!!!

Dammit.
El-wire...I need to get the el-wire...STAT!
The guy cuttin my hair gave me a number of someone from his church that may want to help me with my costumes since I suck at sewing. Lost the friggin number.

Who is fast in providing elwire and what size do you recomend for a bike?

Thanks!

AAAIIIEEEE!!! I still need to fix my bike's headlamp and, er, figure out what I need to get done, what I would like to get done, and what I might as well not bother with (at least this year). I seem to have most of the stuff from the Survival Guide, and that would seem to be a good sign.

Hmm. Vodka and a haircut can wait until next time I am in Madison. Ah! Some sort of shade for lounging in the heat of the day, maybe something big enough to cover my tent as well. And either charcoal for my grill or a gas grill and fuel.

Let's see: about 18 days until I should be leaving.

Fucking shit, I count w/e's not days, and I only have 2 (two) left!
I can do this, I really don't have much else left to do.
Except for the stuff that I've forgotten.
I'll be in my blanket fort until further notice.

I'm with you robbidobbs, two weekends to go before the caravan heads out. Almost all the camp dues are in, just about all the equipment rentals are made, all the owned equipment has been cleaned and dusted off, and a short list of what needs to be bought has been made. Of course all that is for Shady Tower, our gift to BRC. When it comes to my own personal self? Hell, looks like another costume-less year for me. But Shady Tower is gonna rock! :)

I've only got one weekend. The other is going to be taken up with a horse show.

Fortunately, I'm almost done. I only need to finish up one or two projects, get my water, and pack.

1 weekend. This coming weekend is moving weekend, next weekend is tied up hauling my sister's stuff to college, leaving me one last weekend right before the event to figure out a costume and bike decorations.

But don't take that as a whine, even the most hectic Burning Man prep is better than any day spent at work.

I'm counting DAYS because there are not enought WEEKENDS left to get ready! :) Two weekends, and both of them are already mostly spoken for. Therefore, I am going to have to squeeze in finishing up prep in during the days.

P.S.: I just thought of something I don't have yet-- a map of BRC and directions to the Eplaya Bar Camp!

If, no, when I visit Shady Tower, I'll bring that extra costume I've had since last year, Ron. I'm a bit too tall for it, so if you're, say, 6"1' or under, maybe it'll work out. Also, you have to like Elvis. 70s Elvis.

As for me, I hope I can finish up reconfiguring the bikes tonight. Fun and edu-macational, but I have some other stuff to get to.

As a matter of fact, with no beard and sideburns I've been told I look like Elvis. ;)

I packed the Food Box today. My living room, hall and kitchen are given over to Wayward Art, and the bedroom and workroom are to the rafters in costumes and sewing projects.

And the trailer is visiting Idaho for the weekend.

Eeep! I'm still getting my ride organized, and wondering what I still need to get. (And were are those @#@$!! goggles, anyway?! I just went through a bunch of boxes and they did not surface! I might have to buy new...!)

AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I leave in eleven or twelve days! Fuck, I have sooo much to do. Why am I still procrastinating?! I haven't really done much all day. Just dig that one stupid thing out of the garage and cleaned it.

Yup, I'm offically in panic mode.

ETA: Hi geekster! Nice to see you around.
