Is there some trick to reading the teeny tiny print? I always assume it is interesting, but I can't make it out :(

I like mayonaise with fries.. even better is McDonalds Chicken Sauce.... or sometimes mayo mixed with ketchup, mmmm :)

Er, not quite.. poutine is regular gravy, plus curds.. which are a byproduct from the cheese-making process.

Hm! I was picturing "white gravy" to mean... white sauce, or "roux" as they teach it here in Home Ec in grade 8... butter, flour, and that's about it... brown gravy includes meat fat.

What do y'all know "white gravy" to be??

The "sausage gravy" recipe is what I think of when I hear "white gravy." A little more involved than your Home Ec recipe, but not too far off.

Poutine (pronounced, roughly, poo-teen; exact Quebecer pronunciation in IPA [pʊʦɪn] — listen to it in .wav format) is a dish consisting of french fries topped with fresh cheese curds and covered with hot gravy and sometimes other additional ingredients.

The curds' freshness is important as it makes them soft in the warm fries, without completely melting. (When the curds are very fresh they will often squeak between the teeth. For example, fresh St. Albert cheese, a staple in many Quebec homes.)

Poutine is a fast food staple in eastern Canada; it is sold by nearly all fast food chains (such as New York Fries and Harvey's) in the provinces, in small diners and pubs, as well as by roadside "Poutine Trucks". International chains like McDonalds, A&W, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Burger King now sell mass-produced poutine across Canada. New York Fries has poutine on the menus of its U.S. and Australian outlets as well as those in Canada. Popular Quebec restaurants that serve poutine are Chez Ashton, La Belle Province, Stratos, Bravo and Valentine. Also, poutine is very popular in student cafeterias in high schools and universities, usually dominating the diet of young French-Canadians.

Poutine is available in only a few places outside of Canada, including the northern United States; Cuba (in some Canadian owned hotels); the Maple Leaf Pub in London England; the Moosehead Pub in Paris; Becker's and the Maple Leaf Sports Bar in Japan; Rocky Mountain Tavern in South Korea; a handful of restaurants in Taipei, Taiwan; a shisha cafe in Mumbai, India; and even one snack bar in Burkina Faso (La Québécoise).

an impromtu survey of rp techs at the palo verde nuclear generating station in arizona found that

1 - that most techs liked whatever it was that their mothers served when they were kids.

that supports yuor statement.

2 - that most left handers liked miracle whip.

that finding ma be skewed since about 35 percent of al rp techs are left handed.

So I've got insomnia and now the munchies and you've all gone to bed?!

Sigh, french fries and ketchup are poison sticks with poison sauce for me. My ex liked his pancakes liberally spread with mayo with a soft egg on top, I think that was the last straw leading to the divorce. Utahns swear fry sauce was invented here, but it is just mayo and ketchup.

JUst got done watchin some stuff about airport security and their "changes". From what I understand, you cannot board the plane with your glass of cheap wine but they WILL serve it to you on the plane.

I'm also not to "clutter" my things in my carry on. Well, that's just taking things tooo far. The video footage looked like they are really being thorough. So kiddies, please get to the airport a day before departure.

"Thwart"'s a good one. Try to use it with "undaunted" or "odious" for maximum effect.

Tubbies never last long enough around here. We also like "Boobah" for the psychedelic indoctrination.
