Has anyone ever spent more than a week in the red tent...say 2 weeks? Whats up with that? Not that its ever happened to me...nope...not me.

I have had a lot of friends with cysts that have had extended periods. One friend in particular would go months and months without one, and then have one for a month or two straight. I can't remember the exact name of the condition but it did involve cysts.

What, did we all stop bleeding in March?

I was just wondering who among us will be needing the services of the Red Tent on-playa this year. Much to my very pleasant surprise, despite not having expected to be going this year, and thus not having played fast-and-loose with my babyrepellant scrip the way I have in past years to get it the hell out of the way, I should just be finishing up as Fishy and I leave Pinemom's place for the last leg of our journey Home. I have never had to deal with femprods on the playa, and hope I never do.

yup, I've been adjusting my pills over the last three months, so I'll stop taking them... uhm... next Friday? ... and that gives me a week to get it over and done with before playtime begins! Bringing gear anyways, "just in case".. and as possible gifting :)

Ugh, as I have never been on the pill, I do not have the advantage of changing my cycle for this years burn. Still not exactly sure if I'll get it towards the start or end, but I'll get it. Funny thing was I thought about getting on BC months ago when I worked out the math, so that I could schedule around it.

Oh well. Good thing I never really have a problem with my cycles. Most of the time, I forget I'm even having one.

I'm getting to the age where I need to start thinking about going off it permanently. I'm not looking forward to it. I was generally regular, albeit short (24ish days) when I wasn't on the pill, but my periods are so much lighter when I'm on (and they've been getting shorter over the last year or so).

There's apparently an OTC test that can tell you whether or not you're in perimenopause; my mom hit full menoSTOP at 45, so it's entirely possible I'm already on the long downward slide. I need to see if I can find one of those tests; it'd be nice to know for sure.

No, I didn't have a last-ditch bleed when I got spayed. Me had a gooooooood surgeon...

In all honesty, I'll dig around and see if I can find any left over femprods lurking 'way back in the cupboard. So glad not to ever have to worry about the Red Tide on the Playa or anywhere else anymore, but I am slightly concerned about what my hot flashes are going to be like out there.

Oh hot flashes. I'm in that weird perimenopause twilight where I'm still having periods but am getting the new fun stuff too. Mostly hormonally induced from the Tamoxifen (estrogen blocker) but I'm getting to be the right age.

Oh a hot flash on the playa. OK, it was Roach Lake at Singularity, 100+ degrees, I thought I was going to DIE. I think I was dehydrated too, my idiot campmates kept mumbling, "But we don't know what to dooooo ..." Thankfully RG and Boytoy came back and took me away to a trailer with AC. I was fine shortly. There are certain people who are banned from camping with me forever.

I will not be too proud to ask medical if I can sweat one out in the cool tent.

nope i was fixed 7 yrs ago, so no red tent for me...but ANTI M...take me with you when ya stop by on your way! HOT FLASHES will be my worst enemy!
My usual time(can set a watch to it...is between 3-5am...so I might actually get off the hook by just stepping out of camper naked!)Or if just going to bed at that hour, strip and hang out at the bar with large glass of ice water, till it passes!
