We turned an art car in a couple years ago, asswipe was doing donuts out on the dark playa and then racing over to the big bus style art cars and dance venues. We could see him speeding up and down the Esplanade with trips into the playa to do more donuts. Pretty sure the driver was drinking because he was on a bullhorn announcing he'd spilled his whiskey in his lap. Not much of an art car, basically a preivate vehicle with some extras bolted on and a few lights. Got up behind him at one of his stops (we were biking, hence much slower) got his real world license plate nuimber and turned him in. He was grounded for the rest of the event. I know there's folks who like to go out on the playa and lie down and look up at the stars, this guy would have squished them dead.

Next year they got really tough on the mutant vehicles, I'm sure this was only one of the contributing factors.
