The Powers That BE (The Org) requires a permit for such filming. They advocate for radical self expression, but only if you color between the lines.

And this raises the perennial question: Who shall watch the watchers?

But I'm serious about the permit. If people see you filming without that little tag, they will get right in your face and rightously fuck up your day.

If they hire me at my day rate, you fuckin bet I will be there. I will just take vacation days and by then I will know if I have a new job or not. But unless they do, I ain;t coming.

They said Nyet, obviously they have no clue what it costs for professional services, they balked at the fee, AND they want me to use my own equipment. I have been on commercial shoots where the caterer was more than $1500 a day. Nyet

Dude, the fact that we did not hire you is not the reason to become so bitter.

We DO know the prices and as I mentioned in my e-mail I do not consider your price outrageous (though it really is high end and in NYC you can find a cameraman with an audio guy for 1100$ REALLY easily).
Since the project is for a non profit public channel we can't spend that much, which just means that we'll need to look harder.

I am not bittter. But this ain't New York. It's Nevada. You pay me the $1100 you would pay a NY crew, we'll talk. Why don;t you throw your budget figure out and lets see what happens.
