Hey quasar. Good to hear from you. well... I love opening up more options. I live in Bridgeport. around 33rd and Halsted. If you are going to be around tomorrow night or Friday night We can at least meet. I'm really trying to get it together. Feeling a little panicky myself. Mainly about getting my stuff packed. So this is the time. your car sounds like it could be a good plan. I was starting to wonder if we would have enough room. Caravan sounds possible if you trust your car. I'm figuring around $700 round trip for gas. well that was based on taking a mini van out one year and a SUV another. But gas was 2.06 back then. So i'm really estimating high. just to make sure there are no surprises on the road. We do all need to get together to talk so let me know what time works for you. I think Meagan will be around this weekend. I'm DJing in Milwaukee this Sat. But I'll be in Boys Town at Mini Bar Sunday 8pm till- 1:30am 3341 N. Halsted so if you are comfortable with a gay bar stop by. you can always call. I do prefer that method of communication 773 294-2289 we can figure this all out

Hey guys time is closing in on the 18th. Megan and I have to decide. Pay to put stuff on the truck or if you Quasar and Sunnyray want to take your cars or not? Sounds like it could work but we need to know ASAP just to make sure. I don't have a problem with the truck but it could save me a lot of money at this point. :? So can we all meet like Monday or Tues Eve. In Chicago let me know. Megan will be available then. Woo Hoo. I'm getting really ready at this point I would love it if I could get a phone call. Speak to a real voice just to feel assured 773 294-2289 :P

Well, I'm 22 years old, just graduated from college and working on an organic farm for the summer. This is my first time going to burning man. I wanted to go the past two years but never could make it due to school commitments (Boo!). But now that that's all out of the way I'm totally free to go. I don't think I can make it this weekend, but I should be free to meet up next Saturday (the 19th). Drop me a line with the time and place, (815) 389-8220. Peace, Sonny

P.S.

I'd be more than fine with taking my truck. It could provide some much needed room. Plus we could have ourselves a fine little convoy all the way out to Nevada. -Sonny

Hey, Sonny! You're repeating yourself! Anyway, since everyone's giving out their telephone numbers, here's mine: (262) 554-6794.

Weekdays I am generally around after six, except Tuesdays then it would be sometime after 8. Weekends, who knows?!

hey guys. Sounds really good to me :P but I would love to try to meet before the 19th. Is that possible for anyone? I used to live in Arlington Hts. I have to go back that way to pick up my bike. I don't know. Maybe we could meet somewhere in between. I spoke to Quasar today YAY it was good to hear a real voice. So the sooner we can meet the better. I gave Megan a call and told her about the 2 car deal she was totally down! I usually work until 5 or so. Maybe we can do a late night meet and greet for dinner or coffee. Well we have lots of options. I just spun my fire staff in my back yard tonight. It's been a long time. I'm feelin good. Hope you all are to

Unfortunately, the 19th won't work for me (unless you want to meet somewhere in the Madison/Sun Prairie, Wisconsin area!). A good friend of mine and I already are planing on getting together that weekend for some stuff.

Monday night wouldn't be too bad, since I don't have to be to work on Tuesday until 10:30 (well, a little earlier, since they prefer I am at my station before the doors open).

I should be spending this morning cleaning, but maybe I will try to give Carla a call when I take a break.

How would the 21st work? :? Chicago on the 19th doesn't work at all for me. Dunno about the night of the 18th, since I would need to head up to Madison for the 19th.

Hey Carla! How'd the party go? Was that at Burning Snow (a place I have been meaning to check out for some time, actually). Anyway, I finally got the filing cabinet out of my car (discovering that a lot of the weight came from concrete blocks glued to the back of it, down near the base), so my car is now, a day late, good for driving on the interstate again.

Just trying to keep up to date.

 for some reason our internet connection here at home has it's moments of sucking. today and yesterday I wasn't able to get online but here I am now. the party was fun yet there wasn't anywhere for me to sleep. I think I was the only one who didn't stay up all night. I met Sonnyray He told me his real name but i forgot. :? Sonny you left the party without saying goodbye. Did you have a good time :?: is everything cool :?: You seemed like a very cool mellow person. I'm sorry we didn't hook up today. I didn't hear back from Quasar or Sonny so. You guys call me tomorrow or should I say later today please let's make plans to meet. I'm running on empty now must sleep see you all soon

My internet has been sucking of lately too.

Carla Starla - Yeah, I had a good time at the party for the short while I was there. I tried to make it most of the night, but it just wasn't happening. I had to leave early to crash. I guess that's the way things go when you have to be up at 5am for work on a Saturday. Anyways, It was nice to meet you. You seem really cool as well. I'll be in Chicago on this coming Friday and Saturday night if anyone wants to hook up then.

It's almost a week until we leave - I'm so ready to go!

c.d.s?

Post by BAS » Sun Aug 20, 2006 7:16 pm

(The messaging seems to be out, so I guess I will post this here. Sorry for any inconvenience!)

Should I pack my c.d.s? I don't know how the vehicles we are taking are equipted (sp?), I don't know if it would be worth the cargo space. (Or tracking down some sort of c.d. cleaning/fixing system-- some of my favorites have developed a nasty habit of skipping.... )

Thanks!

My truck has a CD and a tape player. The CD player works most of the time. Bring all the music you want, it makes road trips so much more exciting. peace, Sonny

I'll get to work on the c.d.s. Darn! I still need to figure out where I can buy the kind of vodka I like in this town!

Anyway, has it been decided who is meeting/picking up who and where and when?

Well guys I got my drivers license suspended. I paid to have my car fixed to pass my emissions test but there was such a lack of communication and so much red tape I've been dealing with on my part and theirs. I hope that won't be a problem. Hey what's life if you don't jump out and look over the edge now and again. I gotta get to the playa. If I can't fix it in the next few days well so be it.... I'll deal with it when I get back. Leaving Sat morn. sounds good to me.

Hey! Sonnyray! Give Carla a call (773) 294-2289. And, on Friday, give me a call (262) 554-6794. I'm going to be working until at least 5:00 pm.

We need to get arrangements finished up, and decide if we are going down to Carla's Friday night, or Saturday morning..., and if we want to pick up Megan on the way.

I still have packing to do, but am hopeful it won't take TOO long....

Sonnyray-- we've heard you left Friday night. My telephone was accidentally left off the hook Friday until some time after I got home from work (I forgot to hang up the kitchen phone after I switched to the bedroom one when I retrieved telephone numbers), so I was out of touch until about 6:00PM. It is late Saturday morning and we have no way of getting in touch with you and are more than a little worried. Carla's cell phone number is (773) 294-2289 (I don't have a cell phone and don't know if anyone else in the group has one). Please contact us. We are working out alternative travel plans on the fly right now.

Thanks.
