Both issues solved. Thanks everyone. You all rock!
Response to my "contact admin" was swift.
One suggestion, change the "contact admin" to something like
"having trouble? contact the eplaya webteam"
"Having problems? press here to contact eplaya web administrators"
"problems? press here"
just a thought for the non-websavy

So the bit where it says:
Need help? Contact the admin
isn't doing it for you?
Or is there another contact the admin link that I haven't noticed (I'm
referring to the one at the bottom of every page, above the footer data)?
Or is it that the Need help? is in grey and kind of fades out next to the
red-orange link text?

Remember this is a community with ALL kinds of technical backgrounds. What is blatantly obvious to one is non-existant to someone else. When it comes to help topics I've learned that working around the lowest common denominator saves one lots of Excedrin and Tagamet.
>>> Dhc, the above comment was not directed at you at all. I work on a helpdesk, and I see the absolute lowest of the low when it comes to technical ability. When I wrote the post I was taking another call from Ft. Worth from a woman who was doing good to tie her shoes much less use a PC. My content was taken out of context and for that...I am very sorry. It was not meant as a personal slam on you. Not at all.

> I never even noticed "need help"
If there were less crap on the page, it'd be easier to see that link.
< insert smiley > But yeah, it's typical even of the web-savvy not to scroll down.
For future reference, it is customary to put a help link somewhere on the
page, and it's frequently at the bottom. So if you get stuck, scroll down.
All the way down.
Oh, and please note that my previous comment wasn't meant to be snide
or anything. It's an honest question, to which you gave an honest answer.
I think it might be helpful to also put the Need help? link somewhere near
the top of the FAQ document. You know sort of an, "If you've read
through these topics and they don't answer your question, here's how to
contact the admin." (I'm going to cross-post this in the admin link thread)

DhC took it as a slam and IM'd me about the lowest common denominator comment. That's why I put in the clarification. When I wrote it I wasn't even thinking about DhC, he just inspired a thought and I ran with it.
So Dhc, this is a full public apology from me. I'm sorry the comment wasn't better defined.
