Well, got my boots all laced up and my cat-o-nine tails packed and ready. Off to the school and find out what the hell is going on. I did get my grades in but someone had forgotten to take a grade off that was not suppose to be there. My professor cannot do anything about it so looks like I gotta go confront my next victim. Dammit, I pay their salary. Now looks like I gotta train them as well.

Hmmmm keep getting all the new reports from playa dust....it has been very windy here for a couple days...and I dont know where I read it, but like they say...if ya dont like the weather here, stick around IT WILL CHANGE!

So chances of the wind subsiding and getting a HOT WEEK out there are looking good, I saw a Indian summer harvest moon last week on full moon, that to me signifies the possiblity of a HOT end of AUGUST...into Sept.
Im doing the indian summer dance for us all!! I think I'd definately rather be HOT and naked then dust covered cold!

morning all.....

slept good here in the desert. My cat Persia, came out again this trip, and boy did she abate the rat and mouse problem in an instant. I mean those fucking little bastards were running around jumping all over every fucking thing, all over me in the middle of the night. Well that's over she has been on the job since she got here. I was really worried she the last time she came she finally got out in the middle of the night and almost came up somebody's dinner, I was lucky to have found her over 3,000 meters fom camp at 3 am in the inky blackness of the desert. This time she came out earlier about 6pm got to check out the senerio a little better set her bounderies. Now she roams freely between both RVs and anywhere outside 24 hours. Needless to say after being coop-up in my friends apartment where she got along with no body she hissed and was made and mostly hid, not to mention my other friend wanted to make her into this petting friendly chatty-kathy cat but luckly she wasn't having it and she mostly came out of it her regular self-center, does'nt like to be touched, held, fed from your hand, feed from a dirty bowl , picked up, or bothered in general (my kinda cat). And now that she's free to catch her own food at will. hmmmm....

Oh, his letter about the power plant was pretty damn good, too. The Black Rock Desert area has gained a good friend in him. I could get mushy and say it's due to the event, and that's true, but I don't know that I want to get mushy about it. But it's good to see someone come up to bat and do the right thing when a lot of burners and too burned out from being on overdrive for weeks and letting that f*ck things up for the locals and the rest of us.

Just got back from the school. Got the folks there to take care of my grade situation. Guess the boots and cat-o-nine tails worked. Always does. Got me a good old GPA: 3.11!!! It not Student of the Month but it'll do for now.

Then when I got home...guess what...My el-wire is in. They work and look great.
