Leave it to a blender to come up with something like that! Are you offering your mixing services?
If worse came to worst, and the CP had Badger and the Tans on the run, I would volunteer to coordinate with Robbidobbs to acquire the material necessary to seize glorious, slimey, stinky, messy victory from the jaws of defeat.

Unless CP presented a better offer, of course. War is hell.

anyone watching carnivale?
I LOVE that show, so very well done, if a little meandering at times. I don't really follow the whole preacher side of the story and the last episode really had me wondering what the hell was happening with him. I'm more interested in the other stories, but I'm sure they will all collide soon.

The opening sequence is beautiful, and I love the way the whole thing is shot. A lot of thought being put into the cinematography.

The whole nomadic element and dust reminds me a lot of the playa. Especially the dust storm they had in the last episode.

The dust strom episode is the only one I've seen--I was watching while hanging out with some friends and when they started talking about how massive that strom was, all I said was, "You were wondering what Burning Man is like? Now you know."

If I had cable I'd likely follow the show. I enjoyed the episode I saw and wished I could see more.

Ok not to geek out too badly . . . It is a bit slow. I'd rather have 3 episodes at a time. I had guessed that the preacher is really the dark half (surprised but not that they tried that in today's religious climate) and the boy is the Jesus reference. Or since the preacher has fallen now - he's the "left hand of God". Justice verses Mercy. The preacher is figuring out his calling faster than the boy - we'll see. I wish it would hurry up & explode!

I did take the day off blender.

I used part of it to go see the new 'Matrix' movie.

I was so disappointed.

At least it didn't have a Jar-Jar character in it though.

I just recently rented the second Matrix movie and thought it sucked, ergo, it was stupid, ergo, I'm in no hurry to see the third one.

I bet it ends up that they're ALL computer programs! How else could Neo have affected those machines outside of the matrix.

Am I right?

OK, this is not a call for sympathy but...

I have this fucking OUTRAGEOUS head cold going on right now. Pretty nasty stuff.

Does anyone have a quick recipe for a hot toddy - prefereably something with scotch/bourbon that I can heat up and get me ready for bed?

Old family recipes seem to work best but they're also the ones I never seem to get the complete list of contents for.

It's not like an old family recipe or anything...

But what I think of as a "hot nyquil" is my favorite way to deal with a cold:

whiskey, hot water, lemon and honey. All ingredients to taste.

Just thought of this... something I'll probably try next time is a tiny dash of cayenne pepper to the mix. Burn that cold right outta you.

Taco Bell

Post by Angry Butterfly » Fri Nov 07, 2003 1:17 pm

I went ot Taco Bell today and took out my tounge ring to eat. The Taco bell by my house is the Best Taco Bell in the world, by the way, it's super clean, the service is awesome, the orders are always right and the food is way above most taco bell standards. So anyway, after my delicious taco bell meal, I put my tounge ring back in, and as I am screwing the ball on the end i notice this constuction worker type guy staring at me doing it in odd facination, not realy gauking, just an "Oh, Look, she's putting something through her tounge, how weird" kind of way. I smiled at him. It was Nice to be recognized for doing something weird.

Damn girl. You should have told him you needed a hand - even if you didn't. Can't think of a better California style pick up line than that.

Was he cute?

nah, he wasn't cute. It would have been a funny pick up line though.

dirty beans

Post by lolitadelagorgonzola » Fri Nov 07, 2003 3:50 pm

......once upon a time, long ago; I worked for "Taco Bell" a.k.a. Farto Bell. One task was to clean the small rocks out of bags of pinto beans. I quit the job when the sleazy manager persistently offered to share his personal hot tamale with me ... how thankless of me. My faithful dog ate my textbooks which smelled like tacos. I got a better job dancing topless at a bar frequented my politicians where I was offered new and exciting job oppertunities which I once again declined.....I was headed over to the FUCK thread to bitch about the obtuse nature of teenagers and other reams of mental meandernings currently in the Hold file like so many old shoeboxes in a dusty closet full of treasures or trash................But, hey thanks Angry Butterfly.....it's better to have a mental moment for that sunny yesteryear having fun dancing my skinny behind off to Motown tunes and makin money to boot ...I really didn't know shit then, not sure I do now......back then my name was"Lollipop"

What do you think about when you see that pic?

I think more or less in this order:
- what's that cow think it's doing?
- is that the beginning of an unnatural relationship?
- geez, I wonder if that's more fun than it looks
- is that PJ? who took that picture anyway?

Inquiring minds want to know....
