Check Craigslist LA and Freecycle (be sure to set your preferences to no-mail if you do join any of the LA Freecycle lists, as they tend to be fairly high-volume). That way you're not necessarily out a lot of cash for something you might not bring back to Oz with you.

Anything purple is mine. Anything else can be dyed or painted.
The zippers on my cheap one failed instantly in the wind.

The Costco's in my area no longer have tents. They're Spring-only items here. Not sure about the LA area.
Big 5 is a sporting goods chain that often has tents on sale. I got a pretty good sized one for $40 recently. Walmart, Kmart, Target, or any similar store should all have tents and other things you'll need.

Simple, don't yank the crap out of them when they get alittle jammed. Also, don't put them under stress to much, but not much you can do about 80 mph winds.BAS wrote:I seem to recall a thread about zipper care for tents, but the existence of the thread is all I recall....What should people do to try to keep their tents' zippers zipping?
Thanks!

I caught someone trying to use my zipper on my tent after it was just stuck a little. The retard could not understand when a zipper is stuck, you don't yank on it harder. Thanks God I caught them before they broke it.
