Who did these art pieces?

The first one is from the 2003 event. It was basically a mixer that had four stations each controlled by a different person, who controlled various looping beats via a hidden laptop. It was out in the middle of the open playa and was one of the coolest things I've seen at BM so far. Was wondering if anyone knew the creator and such info.

The second was more of a performance. A smallish theme camp on the esplanade was playing surreal black and white animation movies on a classroom-sized screen. The films were outstanding and I was looking for any info on this as well.
