Art Car Bus Stop

ARt Cars:

We will have a 'bus stop' (couch, rug, umbrella, etc) in front of our camp on the esplanade at 9 oclock... if anyone would like to partake.

Slight catch - art cars aren't allowed on the Esplanade, and we won't necessarily know if people are sitting there because it's comfy or because they're waiting for a ride. Maybe make a sign or something across the street from your camp where we can actually stop?

That's what I was wondering..... where can you travel? Can you stop just on the other side? We can put a sign on the other side of the esplanade....I have an idea- some sort of flag to raise or some marker people can put up if they are waiting for the bus...does this work ?

We're not allowed to drive on the Esplanade. We can drive right next to it, but there's usually a lot of stuff and people in the way so I tend to stay further out on the playa. There's a few other places we can't drive as well.

I'd say set it up just across the esplanade (if you can do that, I'm not sure) facing towards the playa or at least in some way that drivers can tell people are sitting there when viewed from the playa. Clearly label it as a shuttle stop. Some sort of flag or something people can wave might be good, though just being in a good spot for us to cruise by might be enough.

I do really like the idea. If it seems to go well maybe we can bring a bunch of them and set them up in random spots.

great! we have 2 small couches, actually- we can put one across the esplanade facing out- We also have a small art install which will be blacklit, so it should be a good distance marker as well. Actually, it's a small forest (4 trees) made of credit card offers. maybe we can have people wait for the bus in a forest....
