I'm the first yeah wooo.
Anyhow I have spoken very briefly to burners in calgary but nowhere else.
If there is anyone in alberta looking to hook up for 2004, lets do it.
I am the only one that I know personally who is dedicated to participation this next burn. I have never actually been but I am going. Oh yeah and I don't have a car but that's not gonna stop me! Come hell or high water I'm going! If you yourself are in my position and would like to go lets help each other.

Yes Virginia - they're are others from Red Deer. Those that have been - and those yet to. There are even some from Edmonton, AND others from smaller towns. BTW - have you heard about the party in Balzaac on the 15th Nov. Great place to meet some superfantasmagoric peeps. Not all of them have been to BM, but many have. You can get more info from - http://www.albertaburn.com/. I cannot go to this party due to a little trip I have to take, but I went last year and had a blast. The only regret I had was that I had to leave early (3 am) cuz I was driving. If I had to do it again, I'd plan on staying overnight. The only problem with that is going home the next day. Anyway- those guys ARE dedicated, so talk to them about dedication. I'm done now

i love the "yall" thrown in the title... very hick...

and surreal, its gonna be my first burn, and im hella-excited for it to, i am definately going. maybe with friends, maybe on my own if my friends skip out, but im going.

i live around cow town (calgary-but im sure you knew that) and if i dont travel with friends, im gonna be driving south myself... its gonna be a long and lonely trip down to the burn in that case...

any plans made yet?

hey all - good to see the discussion a goin' - i'm the regional contact for edmonton...e-towners & c-towners hook up to do ride shares all the time! if anyone wants to plan out possible caravaning, that's cool - i usually rent a minivan & costs & driving is shared. driving 20some hours/5000 km total on your own is definately not as fun/advisable as driving down with a bunch of other crazies!

I'm in Calgary, and this will be my third burn. Me and my fiance make it just our SUV, and yes, the trek is lenghty!

Are you on the Shambhala board? It may not be your thing, but there is a handful of Sham-burners on there. You should surf and check it out.

We do have veteran friends in Edmonton, but they are not attending the is year.
