In 12 hours...

I should be on the road and headed back to BRC. This time last year I'd split my head open, fought with some members of camp, correctly predicted drama from others, and had to work alone a number of times in the lead up. This year I've had no issues with any campers, am delightfully unhurt (knock on wood!), and unaware of any brewing camp drama. Not to mention that at every work party someone showed up, I was never working alone on camp projects this year. That's friggin' cool.

Best of luck to everyone, drive with safety as much as speed on your mind, and remember that you are worth taking care of. Even SED. :)

Find me on the playa for frozen otter pops and cool shaded grass!

Meanwhile deep in the high desert of Northern Nevada a black helicopter claws it's way into the thin mountain air to get in position for a last minute surveillance flight. The pilot intends to give someone a lesson in fear.....

In 12 hours, I hope to be tucking Koosh into bed so we can wake early, shoehorn supplies into the truck and get on the road before the heat hits the valley.

In twelve hours I'm gonna be dead asleep. Six or seven hours after that I'm gonna be hitting Delta Highway and heading for the Oakdale exit off I-5.

In twenty-four hours I expect to be rolling into Eagle's Nest RV for rest, shower, a grilled meal and good company, then some sleep.

In forty-eight hours I expect to be on the Playa behind Robert and heading for our campsite!!! Six hours after that — ger up, canopies up!

Unless I get that F*CKIN can't sleep through the night because of nerves thing going on again.

I'm making sure I'll be asleep. I'm gonna spend the next five hours going crazy cleaning house (it's a wreck in here — MOOP and hotspots everywhere).

In 12 hours I'll be waking up. My across the street neighbor goes to work at 5:15 and my windows face the street. He's quiet, but I still wake up when he starts his truck.

Unless I do the can't sleep/going to paint thing at 3 ayem.

In 12 hours, Gordy says we'll be hitting the road. HA! He's working today and it's a 2 hr drive to get home. I'd like to see us pull that off.

Anyways, we'll get on the road sometime tonight. For right now, I've been up all night packing. Took a vicodin and drinking beer (yeah, who didn't know that!). Waiting for the first light of day so I can pack the trailer. Get Becca off to school. Sleep from 8am-11am. Then go pay bills and get all the last minute stuff ready. Wait for Gordy. Then more last minute stuff. Then FINALLY on the road sometime tonight! WHOOHOO!

I don't get to leave until Sunday night at the earliest so I'm a little bit jealous. Heck I have to go back East to St. Louis this morning before I can even think of going West...it's gonna be one of those "right interstate, wrong direction days". Have a safe trip Lora and the best burn you've ever had! (And I hope I get to see you for a bit, my plans are getting jam packed out there so I may miss ya!)

In 12 hours Ill be receiving the caravan of fellow bar peeps...Purple koosh,Cryptofish,Mozy and Linda....the we settle in for some beer and pizza...then slumber(thats just a pipe dream! ha...Titwi and I had mad fits of laughter in bed last night when we were soooo tired but the excitement hit us!)
I dont know how we're all gonna sleep w/ the disneyland of all disneyland before us!!!
