Live from the playa?

Post by heisencat » Mon Aug 28, 2006 2:33 pm

Hi, all. Just wondering... does anybody know of any good ways for those of us stuck in Reality Camp to share the experience? Apart from Current TV, I mean.

Maybe podcasts or streaming audio direct from BRC? Photo blogs? Anything? I'm dyin' out here! :?

Try searching flickr.com. Since there are a couple wireless spots on the Playa, people have already started posting photos.

I can't make it again this year! :(
The Webcast seems to begin on Wednesdays each year of the event and it WILL help get you thru!!!! Talking to eachother in here helps soooo much also.

Did you all see these links on the 2006 thread?

http://eplaya.burningman.org/viewtopic.php?t=14772

I was SOOO happy to have one night in Black Rock City that I could pee. (oops I did a little) Tue night rocks! Because as we all know, it really goes down hill after Thur noon. I am in full support of shutting the gates on Thur.

Thanks for the suggestions, they do help. Webcast doesn't seem to be up at the moment.

What would be coolest is if some of the radio stations like BMIR or K-SVERT were to stream to the outside. But that's probably not possible, given the limited bandwidth available.

And, yes, I've been saying for years that they should close the gate on Thursday. If you can't bother to stay and be involved for at least a couple days, then you shouldn't get to see the Burn, IMHO.

My mate of ten years tonight told me she doesn't want me anymore. She is mexican, she wants more money. She didn't know it was the burn. She didn't care how hard I work for the money I send. I am at home after a twelve hour day watching both my hopes AND fears burn away in the night. Long live Burningman, Burn mother fucker burn!!!!!!!
