2006 Photos!

Post by mikenmar » Tue Sep 05, 2006 1:21 am

Tons of shots of Burning Man 2006 at my Flickr site:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/71981172@N00/

Click on the thumbnail, and then click on the “ALL SIZES” icon just above the pic to see the full-sized version. It looks much, much better that way.

Note that certain browsers (like Internet Explorer) will shrink the photo to fit the browser window, thereby making the photo look really crappy. So make sure you’re looking at the full-sized version. In Explorer, you hit F11. In Firefox, you just click on the image a second time after it loads).

Be sure to check out the night photoraphy, starting on Page 8.

^^^ Thanks!

The slide show is cool, but it resizes all the photos to make them smaller, unfortunately.

These pictuers are beautiful.

I haven't been to Burning Man since 2004, each year that pass's I miss it more and more, but I am unable to attend.

These pictures pulled a heart string and sent memories flying through my head. They are so beautiful

Many Blessings,

The night shots are excellent, and the daylight images have a nice sky gradient. Were you using a tripod and a polarizing filter?

I had a tripod at night. Just a clear filter though.

Camera was a Nikon D200. I alternated between two lenses - the Nikon 18-200mm VR, and the Sigma 10-20mm.

It was a lot of hard work. I had to make plastic ziplock bag covers for the camera and lenses to keep the dust from ruining them, which made it harder to shoot. Then I had to walk all over tarnation to take the photos! (It doesn't really work on a bike.) I must have logged dozens of miles; my feet hurt at the end of the day!

Thanx for sharing those! I was too busy with our camp stuff that I didn't get to take many photos. Come by our HippoCafe next year! Free coffee, croisants, muffins and other treats every morning from 10 to 12.

The picture of the handchair was at my camp. We brought the chair as a landmark so we could find our bed
