Eugene OR — Arts & Cultures Dialog 9/18-20

The Mayor is putting together a series of dialogs on the arts scene in Eugene later this month and inviting the public to attend. Among the topics of discussion will be cultural facilities, downtown cultural development, cultural organizations and artists and arts education in the schools.

Eugene is touting itself as the Arts & Outdoors capital of the world. I know we have a thriving Burn community here and if we organize and get involved, I'm pretty sure we'd give it a kick in the shorts. This summit is our chance to bring the lessons and culture of Burning Man to fruition here in our corner of the Default World. It's your city — do something with it. Chances like this don't come around often.

The talks are scheduled for Sept. 18-20. One of the talks will be held at the UofO campus in Lawrence Hall, the rest will be at the downtown library at 10th and Olive. Hope to see some Eugene Burners there!
