terrible rumour.

a terrible rumour has filtered back to the uk that a friend of ours has died at burning man - can anyone please please offer any information about such. thank you. apologies if this is unfounded i hope we're wrong - but we're talking about safe and level headed people and we can't get any info. peace.

released the male's name yet.

We have rangers in camp, so I know a tick more: yes, a young man died of cardiac arrest. He did have a head injury ealier, but it isn't known yet if the two were related.

BTW, don't look towards anyone passing out names of people receiving injuries on the playa. It aon't happen.

A Google search of HIPAA will explain everything.

His playa name, along with a brief but touching eulogy, was on display in the Temple until it burned.

Not sure whether HIPAA would apply to playa names, would think it unlikely, although within the community they'd be the most meaningful identity.

too bad thats not sarcasm because in practice it seems to work out when asking a lot of questions and networking gets you the details.

which is not necessisarily a bad thing considering the rumor mode these things otherwise fall in by default.
