A little unsolicited advice
The .jpg will cut you some slack but this is a tough group. Have bonafide, legitimate cites on hand and use them and you'll silence the flak cannons. If you want to see how not to do it I know of a thread that's side tracked into talking about microscopic tears in condoms that I could point you to.

Anyway it's good to see new voices in here...come on by The Bar in Open Discussion and stick around a while.

I ain't goin there, no sireee, I ain't a goin there!

I'm still digging but it seems the Philippines (sp) ((too lazy to look that up)), does have a serious deforestation problem going on....But while I enjoy doing SOME digging (more to satisfy my own curiosity) I'm not going to get someone's ass out of the fire by doing their research and posting cites for them either.

I call total bullshit on the $525 cite for what you claim wasn't weed. FLETC trains rangers way better than that.

that officer was sneaky, he made it seem like the citation wasn't such a big deal and that i could get out of it easily, and being the retard i am, i believed him.

if i had a scanner, i'd display the ticket

The bar is here:

The cites are your problem. Use 'em if you got 'em.

Uh oh, now you've done it. You've left yourself wide open....

Admit nothing, deny everything. Sheesh.
But you have a ticket you can scan....

Oh never mind, damn, I'm just bored and I'm in something I shouldn't be in. I'll go play Madden or something and turn this thing off.
Nevermind me...I'm outta here for a bit.

The declining Phillipine rainforests still don't explain to me how it has anything to do with people there not having enough wood to build houses out of. Forests REGROW. That's what trees/forests do. If there's not enough wood in the Phillipines for people to build houses out of, it still has nothing to do with the ability of the land in the Phillipines to regrow it.

??? Sorry I'm not any kind of expert on deforestation problems, I'm still not seeing the connection. Don't lumber companies replant??

I just tried to PM Scott/bayani so I could send him a Law Enforcement Feedback Form. "Sorry, but no such user exists." was the error message I got.

You out there Scott/bayani?

If he had contacted a BRC Ranger, we could have taken this incident to our daily meetings w/ LE for resolution.

Important that we document these incidents. Law Enforcement Feedback Forms instituted this year.

thanks for trying, but i already filled one of those out, and turned it in to the ranger station at around 6pm on friday during burn week, but i doubt they even looked at it so i went back on saturday and talked to a LEAL representative but he just told me i should hire an attourney and talk to a judge. during the 4 hours or so i spent at the ranger station, a really sweet lady handed me one of those beautiful burning man posters. it made me so happy...

battling with burning man makes me even more happy though. i have no violent intentions, just playful ones

the earthwatch institute is actually doing a reforestation project on my property in costa rica, which is similar to the climate in the philipines. heres another website you may want to check out: www.fincaproject.org this is a non-profit organization i will be working with begining in january

many tropical farmers are so poor that they are forced to cut down and sell their trees, despite the environmentally detrimental long-term effects. afterwards they place cattle on their land, probably because many of them believe it is the quickest way to make money even though it can be one of the fastest ways to degrade the soil to a point where it can become very unsuitable for trees to grow for many years. ive seen cows eat all the undergrowth until there is nothing left before they proceed to trample the soil until it becomes an erosive muddy shit hole.

some lumber companies replant, but definetly not all

FYI: PM's are not working for anyone due to the ongoing behind the scenes server problems the ORG's encountering.

The cites are improving but this is a tough bunch....with some diverse backgrounds. If you don't have your shit together when you post you'll find that out quickly, they'll rip you a new one and chances are someone's an expert in the field and won't hesitate to school you on what's wrong with the argument. Post at your own risk.

Anyway I'll shut up now.

playa q - several friends were staying there
Darn! You are the second person to mention this camp, and I managed to miss it completely! Sounds like it was a fun time for everyone. Maybe next time....

I took refuge in there during one of the dust storms. Nice place. I kept meaning to do back, but ran out of time. 8)

My entire body got stolen last year at BM. I woke up, just a head, somewhere around a toilet. I had to hop back to camp using my tongue. (Playa tongue: not on my fun list)

What really pissed me off was getting bitched at by playanazis about my head being moop. My head. Moop.

Here I was, tonguing my way back into camp, getting ragged on, and having a very itchy ass. Phantom itch I guess. I kept rubbing my neck-stump on things: tires, stakes, ice chests; trying to scratch the itch, but it always felt a little north of the problem area. But I digress.

Anyway, I spent the rest of the time trying to retrieve beer from the ice chest without completely falling in and drowning in lukewarm gooey water.

You should have found a bowler to roll yo u.

Have you got into hats as costume for this year? And invested in an all-terrain skate board?

Skateboard. I can't ever find one made from a real skate. Just a bunch of fiberglass hooey.

BTW, I'm better now. Body fully recovered and mostly regenerated. But thanks Cript. I was thinking of making ice cream for the meet and greet. U like ice cream? We all scream for ice cream. (Well the vegans scream for ice soy. whatever.)
