BM '06 transition thoughts, and a background

Post by QueenOfTheBeans » Tue Sep 26, 2006 3:04 pm

Well, my virgin burn has come and gone. It surpassed any and all expectations that I had, and has truly become a formative experience in my life. I have to admit has not that coming back to my daily life has not been easy. Burning Man made me the most alive feeling that I have in a very long time. I even loved getting ready for the event because it forced me to tap into my creative side that is always being supressed by (somewhat self-created) daily responsibilities. Going back to my job, which I really don't like, was particularly hard for me, because I have no passion for it, and it doesn't require any creative energy at all. Even though I'm not in a position right now to quit, Burning Man made me realize that I need to work towards a place where I am able to quit, and can truly live the deep and full life I want, and now realize I can't live without. For those of you in jobs that you don't like, how has the transition back been for you?

And, this is pretty lame some might say, but since I do have to spend so many damn hours in front of a computer, I made a background compiled of pictures I've been able to find of Burning Man '06 so far. I hope that nobody minds that I've used these photos, and please trust me when I say I'm not getting a damn thing out of it other than pure enjoyment :)

Hey Queen,
Glad you had such a cool experience at BM. But first you deserve a big hug for deciding to go, going, and participating....and actually getting it!!! You are amazing. Love the colage. Keep the groove going baby. Hope you make it out next year. I'm trying for that magical place myself. Don't forget the chapstick.

Love,
Lorgasm
