The 5th year anniversary of 9/11 is here.
It sure doesn't seem like it's been 5 years.
It really feels like it's yesterday.
Fuck. There are some losses that are difficult to get over. In fact there are two for me that I can't get over.
Anyway nobody wants to see a pity party...the best thing to do is help with raising the daughter that was left behind, a daughter that will avenge her father's death. It's the best way to tell Osama FUCK YOU! Raise the next generation of true freedom fighters, the ones that will stop the Islamic revolution in it's tracks. It's the ultimate form of payback, a force multiplier many times over.
But no matter how you look at it today is one of the worst fucking days of the year.

I fuckin feel ya on the 9/11 issue. I am hearing alot about the victims that are STILL fuckin dying as a result of it and nothing being done about it. Same goes for the men and women coming home from Iraq and elsewhere with severe injuries sustained by this war (business) and fucking nothing being done to help them. They are misplaced, unemployed, just a fucking number.
My prayers and thoughts go to those affected by 9/11. Hang in there. We have not forgotten you.

Fuck of a weekend! Spent most of Saturday trying to straighten out my finances, and still can't get the damned, er, sorry, FUCKING checkbook to balance! Fucking gas prices were at their all time high just long enough for Burning Man, and that put a serious dent in them. Then today I drove all the way into Sun Prairie for a role playing game, only to have the game cancelled due to the game master (my best friend) and his wife (another friend) having a fight!
Now the game master sent us an email saying we are on for gaming next weekend. I wasn't certain what the fuck to do, so I sent him a reply letting him know that I really have been meaning to have a talk with him about how I really haven't been enjoying his game that much lately....
So now I am mad at myself for not having enough nerve to broach the subject that his players weren't all that happy with his game in the first place... and I don't know what is says about me that I am positng it on a Burning Man forum instead of a roleplaying forum!

Here's one for the fucking stupidity files. One of the best people I work with called in sick on Thursday and Friday, coughing and hacking on the phone and really sounding bad. Then several of us are looking through the newspaper and guess what? There's a picture of this person out at Kansas Speedway having a poster signed by Kasey Kahne. There's no question it's him either from the jacket to the visible teeth work or fronts and the tattoo...it's beyond doubt.
I hope that poster can be sold for some good money....the managers promptly axed the guy about 10 minutes ago, packed up his stuff and set it downstairs by the security desk for him to pick up later today.
His fucking stupidity is going to mean a lot more work for the rest of us. Stupid fucker.
