Camp Herring
A semi-virutal, semi-physical down scaled interactive, four dimensional herring camp. The smallest registered theme camp in the history of Burning Man. And yes, there will be an event. Eplaya bar camp will nurture and watch over us.Mister Jellyfish Mister wrote:Really? Is this a virtual or physical presence in 2007?

Uhhh, thanks Elliot, but you might want to scale it down to 1/32 before bringing it to our camp... We really mean "smallest theme camp ever". The size is about 1 square foot, or rather 1 cubic foot, excluding the fourth dimension of course.Elliot wrote::shock: .
We tore up the HerringCycle a bit in a recent Kinetic Sculpture Race,
but I can repair it and bring it in 2007. :D
Still confused?

Hmmm...reading that gave me an idea for the "smallest functional theme camp" or personal camp. Maybe make a mini-arcology or something for next year vs. the tent or RV thing. Possibilities, possibilities.

Heh, I've had the mni bikes on hand for quite a while thinking of doing a slice of Center Camp, just never got around to doing the thing. I also have a one inch trailer kit, for that RV experience. Seems like a good winter project. Of course, I have a dollhouse remodel which has been sitting for a looong time now, a free-standing garage, a mostly finished 1/2 scale mansion, a Dark Ages Yule Hall which will hang on the wall (one inch also), an entire four floor 9 room Victorian kit somewhere in storage, and a two room cottage kit under my fabric pile in the workroom. I even have a 1/144th scale house kit or two hanging about.

Oh, yes, the possibilities... Well, The 2007 Herring 4D Theme Cube will be functional. Interactive. Buttons to press, things happening, automated tasks. We'll seriously try to get it registered as a theme camp, meeting every requirement.Kinetic IV wrote:Hmmm...reading that gave me an idea for the "smallest functional theme camp" or personal camp. We will need to connect it to a power source (Eplaya Bar Camp/Terminal City). We'll be more than happy to pay the camp connecting fee, uhh - in proper scale of cource.

...so, that was your studio!
(Missles are launched from the Dread City of Carcosa, speed through the universes, turn into humpbacked whales and arc down towards EL Wire's studio. Moments before impact they turn into potted petunia's and smash harmlessly on the roof.
Damn! I don't know why that always happens... got to remember to consult the King in Yellow.)

(Carcosa is one of the themes I have considered for a camp theme, although I doubt I have the resources to make it happen.)

We were out there on a secret mission - to fulfil the Fjord Project. At exactly 3am Sunday morning the Pyramid Lake where supposed to be transferred to Lake Lahontan. Out there beyond the fence was the perfect spot to watch the water flow into the playa. But... we fell asleep - and even worse - someone stole the remote control for the detonation device. Who followed us that night, who put us involuntary into sleep, who has control over the explosives in Pyramid Lake?Kernul Killbuck wrote:SO!!!
