Yo Corny! Love it love it! So much so I printed it out and scattered it at the Burning Man contingency (a large one) at the Nevada Day parade yesterday. Tons and exitement and support for the event. More over on our Tribe discussion.

Everybody, quick... do you hear that? The beat just dropped out and it's playing a sick breakdown. Look around at all of us... It's building. Chewy and compelling and we all know when that thundering bass is going to crack into our ribcage. Seven days, my friends. Seven fucking days!

OK, time for me to be an asshole so nobody gets expecations that won't come true. As the poster indicates, this is indeed an age 18 plus event. That means presenting a valid photo ID at the door to our security staff and minimum 21 to enter the bar area or drink. Volunteer Black Rock Rangers will also be present to keep the PLUR. Playa fashions are encouraged, and nobody will be admitted in gang related attire. The why-oh-why of age requirements are discussed elsewhere on this board, so please don't post them here. Daddy-rant ends.

As I type this I am rendering my huge 4 1/2 hour ambient/chill/downtempo mix for the chill room. I'm doing it all now so I can be the laziest DJ there who never even touches a button and just enjoys with all hu-mans. I'm very pleased with the transitions and along with the beat matching and mixing I also dug into my limited knowledge of music theory to tune the transitions so they are chromatic and appealing. Would love to get any advice from you more experienced (than my zero) DJ's.

smartly turned out in 3/4 master's coat with ascot and oak leaves later concealed by the MR-1 robot now known as "Rusty" due to his new paint job. Seen lounging before the dawn of battle in his Apokiliptika Chill Command Tent.

PINEMOM
of the Big Blue Hair, bringer of mucho black light art. Most notably a spinning plexy cube with peaceful yet eerie faces locked within.

T.I.T.W.I.
A special place in my heart for him. Shelly can look forward to a life with a man who's hug says it all. Gallantly stands up when somebody says "Who wants the 'shit job'" and mops up with a song in his heart. Inspired me to clean the bathrooms without telling him.

BERNIE
Just the fact that he can make his El Wire marionette, Elston, charm the crowd twice in one evening says a lot about this warm and engaging spirit. You are that Old Black Magic yourself, Bernie!

OMAR SUAREZ
Tim brought his lovely wife and a fine set of trance. Mastering the stage and easing the dancers into bliss with mastery and forethought. Nice new Zorro hat and yellow blazer gives him that "For the People" look. Club Verboten with a heart the size of Burning Man itself.

VELVETINA
Arguably the most huggable huggy bear. Bringer of more black light art including the "Fuck You Alien". Once she got her Aussie beau in a reclined position on the pillows, he turned to day glow putty as she skillfully deployed the Hypno-Mitt and Skull Fuck tools from Jelly's Magic Bag.

G T
Visionary DJ and installer of hanging black light art with smooth and gentle contours. Really added some soft lines and ambience to a large industrial looking room which used to be an auto parts warehouse.

BIG COCK
I just like saying it. You just don't finish a conversation when he saunters up in full el wire'd rooster regalia with cigarette holder and martini glass. Underneath a gentle soul you got to know.

MUHAMMAD
He will ALWAYS be furrier than you. I could listen to that gleeful laugh for the rest of my life.

JOE
Talented DJ sadly cut short by closing time. We promise him first pick for time slot of the next performance. May I nickname you GoGoJoe?

For a guy who said he may not spin that night, he spun and won! Hands in the air to articulate rhythmic crescendo, and all eyes on him. Bringer of stunning interactive projection art that us kids kept coming back to. You don't get audio quality better than a man with a good ear. Fixed it when a channel went out, and simply had a great time giving us a great time.

MUNZ
Hotshot the robot does not go anywhere without his daddy. So thrilled we were to see he had installed his "special feature" which was fully operational. Went the extra mile with a second projection in the chill room. Sage told me it was her very favorite thing at the event. He's the techy who dances well. I know of only one on the planet. Bringer of Dome Alone.

PAULA
With Mike running backup, The Rose Room was a fab installation. Lovely idea swathing the fabric over the fire sprinklers for a neo Greco touch.

FIREATER
Outstanding black light string art was brought by this porcelain lovely. Makes you sit and stare. Hell you already were!

CORNELIUS
Not only brought pen to poster in ways compelling and true, a secret and underground support pillar of all things robotic and thumpy.

PAT & SUNNY
Talk about arriving with vision, these goddesses built their art right on the spot! A popular and fun alien beanbag toss game. Send ET home! I thought some more shiny CD's were part of it until Sunny moved and I realized she had sewn a bunch into her dress... good on ya, love!

HAGEY
All he has to bring is his joyful jingling self. Nice to be taking a piss in one of the stalls and hear him walk in 'cause you know you can wash your hands and dry them during a bone crushing bear hug.

CARDBOARD STANDEES NEEDED FOR NEXT EVENT:
Many superstar burners were across the pond and simply could not attend. It might be a long while until we do it again. When we do, I decree the moral imperative presence of cardboard standees of.....
