Oh... DARN!
And I was so sad that it was so hard to get over here, get past the bouncer, belly up to the bar... and enjoy my friends' company.
Was even looking forward to enjoying the sunrise over the playa...
However, considering the current current in here...
Seems like... Hmmm... seems like...
SEEMS LIKE I OUGHTTA BE FUCKING GLAD I HAVEN'T HUNG AROUND!
Seriously... this is not fun. You're driving the customers away. What would you say, how would you feel, if Tish wandered in here and saw this going on in her place?
Man, I'd be major embarassed.
I tell you what. I'll crawl outta here under the flying bottles, let you guys continue to brawl and bust the place up, and when we can ALL get along like f****ing adults, you let me know.
Oh, before I go... a lovely parting gift...

Why is it neccessary that we all get along? Isn't conflict part of the fun?
These are honset questions put toward one I like and respect. I'm trying to refine my role on this board. Is it possible the board doesn't need me?
What do you really think?

to you, yes, to me, not so much.SED wrote:Isn't conflict part of the fun?
the board doesn't need any of us, participation is voluntary.SED wrote:These are honest questions put toward one I like and respect. I'm trying to refine my role on this board. Is it possible the board doesn't need me?
i think you should focus on your pending visit, focus on the kids, focus on yourself, and if you have time, visit the boards.SED wrote:What do you really think?

Memorial Cenotaph in Hiroshima Peace Park
The inscription reads:
Let all souls here rest in peace,
for we shall not repeat the evil.
Towards evening, a light, southerly wind blowing across the city
wafted to us an odour suggestive of burning sardines. I wondered
what could cause such a smell until somebody, noticing it too,
informed me that sanitation teams were cremating the remains of
people who had been killed. Looking out, I could discern numerous
fires scattered about the city. Previously I had assumed the fires
were caused by burning rubble. Towards Nigitsu was an especially
large fire where the dead were being burned by hundreds. Suddenly
to realise that these fires were funeral pyres made me shudder, and
I became a little nauseated.
