Hey, I didn't know either. Although most of the time I start at the top of the index and have them wiped out by the time I reach case studies. Still, very useful to have the url in case I missed someone. I really appreciate the help, the dang bots been busy busy this week.

Maybe it's once again time to go thru the memberlist and do some selective pruning??

Emily (or anyone else), just out of curiosity I'm wondering how do these bots work? Are they totally automatic scripts? Is there an actual human element involved? I know this may be off topic but I've been wondering about this now for several weeks.

some of them are definitely bots but many of them are not. some are just people who get paid to put links into link farms and bbs profiles. i'm not entirely sure how they work, to be honest.

we did just get hit by a 'bot a few minutes ago. luckily they only got about 10 posts in before i blocked their IP. it was rapid fire posting though, so i'm pretty sure it was a 'bot.

Is this commerce or no? Not making a profit, but is selling prints at cost.

Commerce hidden in Burningman Exp forum. Photog selling pics of participants claiming that 10 percent goes to the ORG and that participants that are in photos will be compensated etc etc.

Its bad enough these people show up at BM, Critical Tits and many other events etc snapping photos of poor folks unawares but now they are trying to infect the board with their commerce.

Gifting doesn't cost.. bartering doesn't involve dollars. If we let this person sell pictures than whats next? Letting Viagra get sold at cost? After all Viagra is kinda burningman related.. walking around for 6 hours with a stiffy would sure get you some kind of attention.

WAIT!! I have an idea..

The Belgian Hardcock!!

I will get Pizer to send me alot of money and free pills.. "gift" Viagra to participants, than we could have "Critically Hard Cock".. a new and exciting way for people to photograph others and make some dough. Everyone wins! YAY!
