Soldering
Solderiing iron died this morning.. Don't want to go to the store.. Took a battery out of my scooter. Wire/w clip to small steel plate.. Wire/w clip to an old small screw driver.. Put work on plate touch solder and work. Done. Must remember this if I need repairs in the field.. I have welded a little with two 12 volt batteries but did not know if I could solder

I carry one to Burning Man (got it free with purchase of something else). I've tried it at home, and it is fussy, but I'll either work with it or bug you to do the soldering if I need it at the burn. :-> Ah, the kindness of strangers. Never underestimate the kindness of strangers at Burning Man.
