spanks for bacon
so my friend that went to the burn last year suggested how wonderful cold, cooked bacon is on the playa, since i own a meat store, and since this will be my first burn this year, i thought why not walk around dressed like a piece of bacon giving out little packs of pre cooked bacon.
we would cook it before we come down and keep it frozen and walk around in the evening on tuesday and thursday, trading spanks for bacon, hope to see ya all down there!!!
And then there's the lovely task of hauling out the bacon grease.
There's a reason we embrace shelf-stable bacon! Delicious wrapped around chocolate-stuffed Oreos topped with EZ Cheez. Really, I kid you not.
fortunatly for me, we do alot of wholesale to many catering companies and they have offered to cook the bacon for me.
this idea you have with chocolate sounds intriging....how about we meet, i'll bring the bacon and you get the chocolate, and together we create...chocobacon!!

Now, what will the person dressed like bacon look like, again...?
I brought some of the shelf stable bacon with me, and was really glad I did. That and the ground ostrich were really good first thing in the morning. (Now, if I only could find ground ostrich on a regular basis....)

we get boar, ostrich, buffalo, heck even alligator meat if a customer orders it, i wouldnt mind bringing frozen ostrich or boar burgers down to the playa, good for breakfasts after a night of partying and celebrations.
as for what the bacon guy will look like...well, for the costume, i figure a bacon loin-cloth with a big bacon hat on (not really made of bacon) and "spanks for bacon" written on my chest and back....oh i get excited about it lol

Uhm, is the loincloth actually going to be made of bacon, or neither the hat nor loincloth made of bacon...? Just want to be certain (I think).
Well, darn. I don't know if I am going to be able to make it for 2007. If I do, I'll try to remember to look for you!

Naawww... Bacon Lasagna, made with extra wide bacon "noodles", layers of fine Bacon flavored sow's milk cheese (with genuine bacon) interspersed with the aforementioned bacon sauce and roundels of Caandian Bacon, topped with a layer of farm fresh Bacon.
Next week - Bacon-flavored Tang. It's what the LabWerks astronauts drink... IN SPACE!

thats good, very good.
slow roasted bacon injected with bacon juice, with sautee bacon and mushroom shaped bacon pieces garnished in a sparse design around the perimeter of the bacon roast, leaving room for the stir fry bacon (consisting of boar, turky, peameal and moose bacon) to be placed delicately around the bacon roast
for desert bacon gelato with an infused belgian chocolate and maple double smoked gammon bacon sauce.

I like to make the Bacon wrapped shrimp recipe from Houston!
Mmmm maybe I should bring that this year for camp snacks.....
cut whole shrimp long ways down partly down the middle.
fill with Mozzarella and a scallion
Wrap slightly cooked bacon around the package
hold together with a toothpick
season with secret spices
fry in olive oil until cooked.....
Mmmmmmm Bacon Finger Food!
