Eplaya IRC Channel

Just checking to see how much interest there is in chatting on IRC. There are a few networks with proxies in place to block your IP address so you can participate anonymously. I'm looking for volunteers to act as channel OPs enforcing eplaya TOS and promoting the 10 principles on the channel. I wish this IRC channel to be a place where users can collaborate in real time. The channel will be radically inclusive of course so a SMALL amount of snark is acceptable. Feel free to add any POSITIVE suggestions to this thread. Any folks interested please respond in the thread as the PMs here do not always work.

by real time i mean FAST real time..

1200PM Bob: Hey Joe did you get that material we need for our themecamp lookout tower?

1200PM Joe: No.. I thought you were supposed to get it.

1202PM Bob: Well I'll get it I have to go by the place anyway today.. and don't worry about the stove I'll just pack mine OK.

1203PM Joe: Great thanks man.. Gee I sure am glad we can talk on here and get this shit sorted out last minute since my telephone has been out all week and only the cable internet works.

Cmon folks.. this wasn't even my idea originally. I know everyone like the bar thread and all.. but think of the possibilities. A bot to play games with in the channel, the ability to dcc pics and other files to and fro, much faster communication when the nees arises. Lets see some votes and some volunteers for irc channel operators and someone to help admin the thing.

I've done it already for eplaya twice.

It did not work out well.

People are attached to the bbs format on eplaya.

In fact, I believe it is still online.

If someone here finds it first before I do it would be nice if they post a link.

Otherwise, I'll look for it and post myself.

I was looking up some things from last year, ( I keep a personal log of eplaya.) about another topic, (Not nessasary to bring it up here and now.) when I came across this thing I worked on around Feb 2005 :eplaya chat when well......it was a long time ago and I had already offered 2 other irc chat thingies. (I couldn't believe I found it.)

Anyhoo, just so you know. Not the best looking of the 3 but you get the idea, and it works on all platforms.
