I am new to the BM festival but i am very interested in puttinga Stage up for the UK Trance label "Twisted". The Twisted artists are extremely interested and excited for an opportunity to come out to the desert and lay down some mind-bending psy-trance for the duration of the festival. Any replies as to how I would go about making something this happen would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance...
Be Good,
Brian
Who do I speak w/ to put up a stage?
You don't really need 'permission' or 'to speak with anyone', but theres is the element of making sure you're placed correctly - ideally the loud dance camps are grouped together to avoid conflict.
I hthink the registration for placemnt doesn't take place for a few months but I might be wrong. If so, someone more in the know please correct me!
Also it's important to draw the line between using the word 'Twisted' as your camp/stage name and advertising for a UK record or party label.

You call it malt liquor, I call it breakfast.
You’ll need to keep in mind as a private event , Burning Man has rules on the use and reproduction of all media, photos, video , and I also believe audio . So any obtained at the event would likely be restricted from use for promotional purposes.
Also all advertising is prohibited at the event, and so are all sales.

spells out some of the restrictions you could possibly encounter, I think it would be a good Idea to contact the organization and inform them of your plans and they will help make sure you don’t end up with some nasty surprises at the last minute.
