Uh..Age Question?

Hiya Pals,
Haven't been here in awhile.
For those of you who don't know; I was planning on attending the burn last year.
My parents said no.

I turn eighteen this year, on August 30th.
Am I still going to have to have a parent or someone come with me?

nope, 18 is ok. says so somewhere on the main page.

from the FAQ's "Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 21 years of age."

so looks like you will be fine.

Just a guess here, but I think if you try to enter the gate before Aug 30th you'll need a guardian with you. On or after Aug 30th you should get in with no issues.

If you want to go for the whole week you might try to find a group you are comfortable with and go with them. It's not a bad idea to have some support from BM veterans on your first trip anyway. They might even be able to help smooth things over with your parents.

You might try to find a burner to act as a legal guardian for a few days.

As a former "under age burner" the only advice for you is, don't be an idiot, keep your common sence and enjoy the experience.

Are you coming by yourself or with others? I called 415-863-5263 and left a message asking what happens is someone is turning 18 during the event. I will post any reply I get.

Great, now I feel kind of old ... I turned 19 the day your were born.

I think I know only one other person who has the same birthday as us ... odd, really, as I'd think that with 1/365 odds that I'd know more.

Get your ticket and go!

No one will care that your a touch under 18 when you enter the event. The only time it will come up is if you are injured, arrested, ticketed or get ejected from the event. Just go and behave yourself and everything will be cool.

I totaly thought that said ejaculated. Not the first mistake I've made today. Today, I made a total party foul, with Louk, my boyfriend. When I am woken up, I become very easily confused. Earlier, Louk and I had been with my friend Justin. We always take him home, but obviously we don't have a car. I had fallen asleep with Louk like at 9:30, and had him wake me at 10:15, well he woke me up. Everyone had left, at like 4:30 and I said, "Justin, Are you going to take me home?" (Obviously, I meant Louk.) And Louk said, "Its Louk." And I replied, "It's lube?" He laughed at me and said, " It's Louk." That's when I oepned my eyes and realized what I'd just done. Haha.
